Bobby Rubino began his chain restaurant career in 1972 when Tony Roma recruited him from a maitre d’ job in Miami to join that chain. Rubino launched Bobby Rubino’s Place for Ribs in 1978. A Pompano beach staple. I read rumors this place was going to be closing its doors soon so we decided to come check it out. The 2 person rib deal was a great deal. I decided to get the half rack and chicken (white meat) for the upcharge. I will say that was a mistake. The chicken was very dry and edible in our opinion so we left that on the plate but ate all the rice and baked potato. The onion stack they offer as an app was really greasy but it is what it is. The drinks were very stiff and worth it. And they were also a great price. Hoping we make it back there before their grand closing

The restaurant is having $25 dinner for 2 people. I didn’t know that promo until the waitress told us. My friend and I both want the same thing: onion soup, and baby back ribs. The ribs are great: very tender and flavorful. Because I don’t like pork, I only ate two ribs. My friend finished a half rack. The onion soup is very delicious but I hoped that there were more onions in my soups.
We also ordered onion rings. I don’t like the ways they fried onions in a bunch. Besides, I do not like big onion rings. I like small ones which are more crispy for such a long time.
After my first visit, I enjoyed my experience in Bobby Rubino. $25 for dinner meals for 2 people is a great deal. You can’t find better deals around this price. However, I do not think that I will come back the restaurant if they do not have a good deal like today’s. The restaurant should have more soup choices and salad choices. At the moment, onion soup and cesar are the only soup and salad options. I have no complaining about their staffs. The waitress I met was very caring.

I do agree that the Ribs are great here and they have a great deal selling two Ribs for $25, but what I cannot agree is when you call them to place the order and they say that to get this deal you have to buy to sodas, I mean, two small cup of sodas and pay $6 for it. I did not see anything about it on the their sign out front the restaurant, my opinion. They should be more specifically about it.

We went for lunch, had a excellent meal. Be prepared, the prices are expensive. 2 people, 2 Cokes, 2 seafood platters on special was $50 plus tip. Now the meal was like dinner, two sides and bread. The seafood platter we had broiled, scallops, shrimp and Tilapia fish. All very good. Server was efficient and nice. We ate in the bar side, plenty of TVs and people. All in all a very nice meal but a dinner to us.

Great Atmosphere, delicious food, and drinks are on point. I highly recommend this restaurant. My parents use to take my brother and I when we were kids. When I told my mom about Bobby Rubinos she was so happy one was still around. So this past weekend we all went out with my husband and his mom. The kids are all their food and ribs were on point. If you’re in the mood for some ribs I highly suggest you go here. I will be going back. Everyone is so nice and they’re very friendly and quick with your food. Side Note: Their piña caladas are so delicious!!!!

My boyfriend grew up eating here so of course he wanted me to go see the bird sanctuary. So let’s talk about the food first. The food was great. I had the ribs and they were very good. I’m not 100% positive that they removed the silver skin because the back strip was really hard to remove. The ribs had great flavor and I can see why people go time and time again. The fried items we tried (fries and chicken tenders) we’re good. The oil didn’t taste old or dirty. Now the birds! Are you serious! It was incredible. We loved watching them as we ate. I’ve never seen anything like it but it is unique and wonderful.

Bobby Rubinos place for ribs is just what the name implies the place for ribs you cannot go wrong at Bobby Rubinos the same guy has been making the ribs over 40 years these ribs are spot-on and perfect. We found the waitress to be so helpful and so willing to please that we went back a second time and requested her as our waitress she’s awesome we also got the ribs both times and they were perfect just what we expected the sides are good but the ribs are the star of the show if you’re in Pompano get over to Bobby Rubinos place for ribs
