At 4:51PM, I went through the drive through and ordered 6 spicy tenders (which should have came with gravy) with fried okra, roll, and a sweet tea and a 8 count corn nugget. They confirmed my order and I went to the drive through window to pay and pick up my order. I went home and proceeded to attempt to eat my food. I opened the box and saw that the tenders were not spicy, there was no gravy in the box, the roll had some Parmesan like flakes all over it and everything was STALE. I was furious and had to calm down before going back to the restaurant. I drove back up to the restaurant and asked to speak with the manager. I was told that there was no manager available. I then asked to speak with the shift lead and Cashier T came to speak to me. I explained that I am very upset that my order was incorrect, I repeated what I ordered and how it was prepared incorrectly. She the cashier had no care in the world and just told me that they can remake it. I agreed and also proposed to make rectify me for wasting my time and money having to come back up there that I would need another order the exact same day way on the house which I know they could do. They absolutely refused to do that. I stated that since Golden Chick is the one who made the mistake that they can make that decision to make it right by giving me a second meal on the house. The staff stated that they couldn’t do it and that they would have to call their manager. I suggested for them to call their manager on speaker. So they did, and did not tell the full truth by omitting the fact that they messed up my order and I had to come back up there to get my order corrected and that the right thing to do is for the staff to remake the order times 2 and to not charge me for that additional meal. The manager refused to do that and stated that they would have to charge me at least half of the meal even though all of this was from the mistake of their employees. Reluctantly I obliged to mitigate the issue as the staff had no remorse for messing up my order. So I requested for EVERYTHING to be made fresh and stayed at the front to ensure none of the order was tampered with. Never received an apology or anything. They finally completed the order and asked me to look at everything. I did and guess what, the order WAS STILL WRONG. So the order was messed up twice but the manager Sebastian wouldn’t authorize staff to comp my second order. So, I am officially requesting a refund for both orders iao $21.09 and $10.54 for wasting my time and money training the staff on proper customer service.

Well, I decided to give this place another chance after nearly a year, and let’s just say, it was quite the experience. The food was overcooked, and the tenders were so small they could have been mistaken for a joke. The fries, once battered, now resemble oversized steak fries without a hint of salt. And the gravy? It’s more like a warm milk concoction with a dash of pepper definitely not what I was expecting. The Mac and cheese was already showing signs of separation, which was less than appetizing. To top it all off, my mini spicy flavor shaker was missing from the order, and the cashier had the audacity to ask me to leave a review. Clearly, this establishment needs a serious upgrade in quality control. For $43 dollars for a 12 piece family meal never again.

The lady looked “high” to each is on but if you can’t function then don’t indulge before work or while at work. To look me in my direction and ignore a paying customer who is standing at the register for several minutes is cool for Golden Chicken unmanaged employees. On my lunch I spent $28.19 for two 9 piece wing combos one lemon pepper and the other wicked. One the girl decided to seem as if she cared asked was I cool. Well pardon me ma’am for bothering you! I requested a refund due the fact the wicked wings were heavily seasoned and I never requested for extra seasoning. I brought the entire meal back and presented to the high girl who didn’t seem to care since no one else was able to assist. She became upset with me with me because I requested a refund for my order that was made with too much wicked seasoning, stated that “Golden Chick” doesn’t give refunds. Told me there’s a sign on the drive through window. I informed the high girl who didn’t seem to care that I didn’t come through the drive thru, I came inside at 2:50pm and the doors doesn’t display “no refund”. Asked to speak to a Manager she stated there’s no manager! Odd but okay who closes the shift and store at night? Hmmm! Never once offered to remake the order to correct the mishap just walked off and got on her phone to place a phone call. Paying me no never mind, neither the lady in the drive through who looked like the manager on shift. Location full of games in the evening. Hey if you’re satisfied with you production why would you care about a review pointing out the issues at hand. I won’t return to this location, which I’m sure you could care less. I take it as they feel like cook your own food you won’t disappoint yourself.

ABSOLUTE WORST!!! I KNOW it was Christmas day but thats the best part. You have 364 days to plan for 1 day and this restaurant ran out of everything and simply took online orders and couldn’t fill them properly. Essentially, they steal money. I ordered a family combo and received some nonsense. My sides in a giant cup NOT even the amount of a side and my chicken turned into half order of tenders. How about you tell the customer what is gping on or simply refund the money. Thieves. Bad food. Bad experience.

I hate to see businesses close, but this location should. The food was just terrible. I ordered the Mixer which is their largest family option. I made the mistake of not checking my food before leaving. I went home and opened the boxes and just couldn’t believe the workers in good conscience could serve that food to paying customers. Karma is never kind. I drive back to the restaurant to exchange it for fresh fried chicken, fresh and hot tenders and fresh fries. What I got in return wasn’t too much better. They had to call the manager to ask for permission to replace the food. Absentee managers and owners are always problem. If they can’t be bothered to be in the store then the workers weren’t be bothered to go above and beyond. The food was old, hard and greasy.

The workers were VERY enthusiastic. The sweet tea was amazing! Which is surprising since chicken express has the best sweet tea in Texas, but this golden chick in particular… amazing. Corey was one of the workers that seemed to beam the most! He made the little 5 min talk enjoyable.

So frustrating! I’m not sure if all the local Golden Chicks are owned by the same franchise but it’s so consistently bad. The gravy is water, the food gets more and more expensive and you get less and less. The staff is rarely cheerful (which I somewhat get, and most of the time it doesn’t bother me but be professionally polite at the very least). They’ve messed up my order multiple times. I went this location 15 minutes before closing a couple nights ago to get some food and they apparently closed with no notice. The drive through window was open! So unprofessional, so disappointing. Please find new management or do retraining. Do something to make your employees care about working here. Please provide a decent experience and food for the price you charge.
