Popped in for a couple beers and a few appetizers to celebrate digging ourselves out of the 2026 winter tundra that buried us this past week. Was definitely looking forward to trying their new beer flavor Franconian. Franklins can brew some good beer!!! Not even a question. The apps are amazing. I ordered the crab dip with a side of fries, way better than the chips. My wife grabbed the lamb sliders with a side of fries. The appetizers are flavored well and seasoned properly, it’s when you move towards the mains when the seasoning leaves the room. I ordered the brunch yakamein sight unseen and all I could ask myself is why. Nothing about this says yakamein unfortunately. I wish I ordered a pizza instead. If this is your first visit here please make sure you ask for the condiments on the table if you order anything other than the appetizers and the burgers. I still look forward to many more visits to Franklins in the very near future, just now for strictly beer and appetizers

This is a good, solid local eatery. They have a variety of American fare dishes, I’ve probably experienced half the menu over the years, with a 90% satisfaction rate.
️ Always happy with the salmon, and an extra side of corn pudding. The burgers are usually pretty decent, fish & chips, pulled pork, flat iron steak, mussels, and the pizza is fine. I’ve had the fried chicken when it was good and also when it was just okay. There’s a brewery. The attached General Store & Toy Store is always fun. The bar, restroom and about half the indoor seating is up a couple flights of stairs which can make it challenging for guests with mobility issues or babies, just fyi. There is a restroom downstairs in the general store, if it’s open during your visit.
There is attached parking, and additional parking under the underpass, often requires a fee, but not on holidays or Sundays.*(double check at the station)
➡️Parking and front entrance are wheelchair accessible, however the only downstairs restroom is in the general store which has a doorway, but closes in later evening, and it’s pretty tight. Bar is upstairs.
♂️Walkable area, cute little shops, art center, local arts and activities. The traffic can be a bit fast, watch those walk signs and crosswalks.
The atmosphere in the dining area is funky, casual, diverse, all ages, well-lit, and features local artwork for sale. Service is usually fine. Kids like it here, typically, and they love the store.

I’ve ordered to-go from here 3x before. I finally got the chance to sit in and the service and food was good. I love that everyone in the art district raves about this place. It’s like a staple. The burgers are good and the crab pretzel has an oniony taste but surprisingly, I liked it.

Casual neighborhood restaurant attached to a super cool general store with an assortment of nice gifts, tchotchkes, toys, and wine. The restaurant/brewery was large with two levels. We were seated on the upper level and there was a single bartender that had a full bar and all of the tables in the upstairs dining room. We waited for an extended period of time for the bartender to come over to take our order. We noticed that the other guests in the upstairs dining area also had to wait for service as the bartender was busy with the guests at the bar. There definitely needed to be one more server or bartender up there! Luckily the food was fantastic.

Had the fish and chips, I was a little disappointed it wasn’t as crispy as I thought it would end up being. Asked the waitress for more tarter and never got it, they don’t have condiments on the table. Beer was wonderful though.

We went for a late lunch-early dinner. Their beer selection is excellent. The sauce for their pulled pork is well done, it adds to the flavor of the meat without overpowering the taste of the actual meat. The crab dip is very nice. The service staff are kind to children without patronizing them. We all had a great time and will be back.

Exceeded my expectations. Being vegan, I am often underwhelmed by the options available at most restaurants. Even though they don’t have many, what they do offer is exceptional. The Moileel is one of the best curries I have had in the metro area at any restaurant. The Three Grains salad is also very good. Then there is the gift shop. A really nice variety of items and would be worth a stop independent of the restaurant. Surprisingly not crowded for Mother’s Day.

This place is awesome! Cute fun atmosphere and delicious food. I was alone on this trip and felt so comfortable at the bar. The highlight was the toy/wine/card/funny shop attached! This is a must-go if you’re in the college area.

Our server/bartender, Dylan, was top notch from the moment we sat down. Every aspect of our meals were great. The beers and house made root beer topped it all off. Not a single thing we didn’t enjoy about this place.

They have some unique menu options here that are going to make me come back here! I had the oui oui burger with collard greens. It was delicious! The collards were a little salty but still good. I really liked the location itself and def will come back to try the outdoor seating. Service decent as well.
