Was in the Niagara Falls region and looking for an Indian restaurant for lunch. After spotting the thali menu online, I knew I wanted to try this place out. Finding it, however, was not very obvious. It’s actually part of a small hotel/lodge, with just a modest sign that says “Punjabi Thadka” and a neon “Open” sign — that’s how I knew I was in the right spot.

The restaurant itself is small and no-frills, with about 4–6 compact tables. There’s also a small mithai (Indian sweets) rack near the counter, which was a nice and authentic touch. The menu was a familiar Punjabi-style spread — various parathas, curries, and of course the holy grail: the thali.

The veg thali felt reasonably priced at $15, but the non-veg thali at $20 seemed a bit steep, considering the only real difference was paneer gravy versus chicken curry. We went ahead and ordered the thali along with paneer parathas.

Everything came out hot and fresh, and honestly, it was a very satisfying lunch. The thali included two types of roti, rice, two sides, curd, and a sweet — a full, well-rounded plate. It definitely took some effort to finish, which is always a good sign. The highlight for me was the sweet at the end: kaju katli. It was fresh, delicious, and the perfect way to wrap up the meal.

Overall, I’d definitely recommend this place if you’re in the Niagara area and want a solid Indian meal away from the crowded tourist strip near the Falls. And if it does get busy, ordering takeout seems like a great option too.

The food here was absolutely amazing! This small, family-run business is truly a hidden gem in Niagara Falls. The parathas and chole bhature were outstanding and genuinely gave us classic Delhi street-food vibes.

Big kudos to the team for delivering such authentic taste and a wonderful experience. Highly recommended!

I had an amazing experience at this Punjabi Indian restaurant. The food — both vegetarian and non-vegetarian — was absolutely delicious and full of authentic flavors. Everything tasted fresh and perfectly homemade, just like a meal prepared with love at home.

What truly made the experience special was the warmth and kindness of the staff. The way they served us with such genuine care and hospitality made us feel so welcome and comfortable. It honestly felt like we were dining at a family gathering rather than a restaurant.

This is definitely one of the best places to enjoy authentic Indian food. Highly recommended!

If you are missing the Dhaba wali feel from back home so worry no more as this place will fill that void. We enjoyed the food, the prompt and courteous service. We ordered the chole poori and Veggie Thali. They made sure everything was made to your liking and they customize as per your request. Food is fresh and hits your craving on spot! The owner is very nice person. I’ll visit again and highly recommend!

Best Indian Food, feels very homely. Loved the soft phulkas. Tried Saag and Mutter Paneer both were amazing. As everyone said, dont judge the book by cover so dont mind the ambience. Free parking available onsite.
