In 1950, with a $500 loan from his father, Bill Miller opened a small poultry and egg business. Three years later Bill Miller Bar-B-Q began as a small fried chicken-to-go restaurant. Today Bill Miller is a family owned and operated business with 77 locations in the San Antonio, Austin, Corpus Christi and surrounding areas. We take pride in cooking all our barbecued meats in pits smoked with 100% live oak wood. We offer a variety of meats such as brisket, sausage, bar-b-q chicken, pork spareribs, turkey and fried chicken. We specialize in the baking of breads and pies made fresh daily. I am a big fan of Bill Miller’s. I get their food weekly between the barbecue and fried chicken. It’s all good stuff but the brisket that I got today I had to throw in the trash. It was the worst toughest piece of meat that I’ve ever Run across. I ate a couple pieces and I threw the rest in the trash.

Definitely not the experience that I expect from Bill Miller’s. The staff are lackadaisical at best, and it’s very apparent that this attitude is picked up from their management.
The food was not fresh, and the employees could not be bothered to be of any help, whether in regard to missing items at the side/condiment bar, or the lack of fresh sides (I had seen them serve the very bottom of the barrel of the sides without any offer for waiting until a new batch was made).
When someone from our group approached the manager for further assistance in addressing these food and service issues, they were met with the very same attitude that was present in the rest of the staff. Overall a very disappointing experience, and not one that you would expect from this restaurant chain.

Went and got some breakfast tacos. Bacon and egg taco……not happy. Like there not even trying anymore.

Consistently gets order wrong or missing items. We have to always double check before leaving the drive thru (you should anyways) today I ordered a specific taco, she repeated the order to me, pull up to the windows and I pay and leave. I was running behind to work so I didn’t check my order before leaving. I get to work and my taco order is completely wrong. How do you repeat the order back and still get it wrong?!

The breakfast tacos are good and made quickly to order. You can use the drive-thru, fine in, and my favorite- carryout. They have a second door just for the to-go orders. Staff is always friendly early in the morning and the food is yummy.

I ordered a beef vegetable soup with rice, when I got to work to enjoy it on a cold day, it was missing the beef and the rice. It was mostly just broth.
Went back the following week, they forgot the condiments and gave me 2 sweet teas instead of my unsweetened tea and one half/half.

Very good budget friendly smokehouse. Very good fried chicken and bbq chicken. I wish the yeast rolls were warm or at least had butter but it’s okay just skip them.

I recently stopped at this location. It was very clean and employees were all very helpful. It was about 20 minutes to close and although most places will limit your selection so late in the day. These guys were great and even told us to take our time and not worry. The young lady who attended us was just so personable and friendly. I wish I would’ve asked her name she definitely deserves recognition. Thank you guys

Placed an order to go and the order received was not only incorrect but chicken was burned and inedible. After speaking with the manager on duty, I was told to come in again and they would remake the order to “make it right”. Upon my arrival, I was told by another manager that the order had already been fixed and there was nothing they could do. The manager was extremely rude and dismissive and I am completely appalled at the lack of customer service and ability to honor their word. Would not recommend this location to anyone.
