After driving home 30+ miles south of the store and realizing a problem with our order, we just chalked it up to ‘things happen’ and we were certain that they’d be glad to make things right at our next visit. – We even called and spoke with a nice lady named Shay, and saved our receipt even though we were told there was ‘’no actual need to save it’’ or bring it back.
Fast forward to a couple nights later, and we thought we’d swing by to get our food corrected. It was like pulling teeth with the guy working the counter, and the two ladies that ended up helping him with the replacement.. were the furthest thing from friendly or approachable that you could possibly imagine. – All while we ourselves were being extremely nice and even apologizing to them for disrupting their evening, in any perceived way. Essentially the anti-Karen.
This will be my family’s last trip with any Taco Casa.
I have been a long time customer to the 69s location. Never once have had an issue like today. Food and service have never been a problem. Sat behind the vehicle in front and watched countless times of items being passed back and forth. No one wants to see bags of food go into a vehicle then get passed back inside the drive thru. No telling whose hands have been all over the food at this point. And the same with drinks. This went on for many times. I ended up pulling over and throwing everything away that was given to me. Quite disgusted!
Because they aren’t THAT chain, they do things a bit differently. Higher quality food ingredients and each item ordered is made to order. Nothing sits around under heat lamps.
The choices here are slightly more limited, but you would expect this from a local place. What they do, they do WELL! I’ve always loved their Beef Taco Salad. (Not the name). For less than $10, including tax, it fills you up. Real cheese. Real sour cream, the works. Another store won’t even try to do this.
Everything here is made in house. I recommend you end your meal with their cinnamon-sugar sop______s. (I don’t remember the name, I’ve only recently moved back to town.)
I grew up going here regularly, with multiple groups. I admit, my church youth group would descend here regularly and gorge ourselves. Guests were brought along to be indoctrinated.
