Let’s talk about the crab bisque soup first….. WOW! Creamy, rich, and bursting with fresh seafood flavor, it’s the kind of soup you wish you could take home by the gallon. The fresh salad was perfection with crisp greens, vibrant vegetables, and a dressing that brought it all together without overpowering the freshness.
We also went for the flight, and it was a fun and delicious way to explore more of what they offer. Every bite was packed with flavor, making it hard to even pick a favorite. And then came the crab and shrimp dip… let me just say, it’s the kind of appetizer that will make you close your eyes just to savor it. Creamy, cheesy, loaded with tender seafood. You’ll be scraping the dish clean!
But what really made this night stand out was our server, Emelyn. She was an absolute rockstar. Friendly, patient, and genuinely passionate about the food, she walked us through the menu like a pro, helping us choose exactly what we’d love. She checked in at the perfect moments, kept our drinks full, and made us feel completely taken care of from start to finish. Cesare’s isn’t just a place to eat it’s a place where you feel at home, where the food is made with love, and where the service makes you want to come back again and again. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Chester, do yourself a favor and make this your next stop. Trust me, you’ll be talking about it long after your plate is empty.
The menu has a lot of variety, including things that are not necessarily Italian. This makes it great for some of my friends who don’t like Italian as much as I do. I ordered a chicken roll, which was a lot like a calzone crossed with a Philly cheesesteak sub wrapped in dough and cooked. It was excellent! It was also huge and I took half of it home.
Our waitress, Montasia, was friendly, efficient, I was able to describe the various dishes and answer our questions easily. We were also pleasantly surprised by the prices which remained very reasonable in an environment in which restaurant eating has become more and more expensive very rapidly.
Montasia was super and is one of the main reasons that my wife and I will be sure to return. Having said that, even if she is not our waitress, we will be happy to come back for another great experience.
The pizza and food were decent, but our experience was overshadowed by poor service and billing mistakes. Our waitress came across as rude, and our bill required multiple corrections. We were also charged 99¢ for tomato on a burger ordered with only cheese and ketchup, and we were charged $6 for fries that were brought out instead of the included house chips (we never requested the swap). It took them three times to get the bill correct.
As first-time customers, we assumed fries were the normal side. When we asked about the charge, the response was defensive and we were blamed for not pointing out the fries earlier. The waitress’s exact quote was “you should have told me about the fries when the burger came out”. So be warned: if you receive fries with your burger even if you didn’t ask for them, you are expected to know that they aren’t the standard side and tell your waitress immediately. Now you know, because I didn’t. It was my first time ever leaving a $0 tip because I was so taken aback by being spoken to so rudely.
I hope management addresses the service and billing accuracy, because the food itself was fine. Regardless, I will not be retuning.
