Before I even ordered, I was greeted by Jonathan, and I have to say he is one of the nicest, most sincere people I’ve ever encountered in a restaurant. No fake script, no forced smile, just genuine kindness and great energy. He set the tone for the entire visit.
The tacos were exactly what you want them to be: fresh, flavorful, and made with care. The beer was ice cold, just like the sign promised. The place itself has tons of seating and a relaxed, laid-back vibe that makes you want to stay awhile.
Honestly, the only “sad” part is that it wasn’t packed, because a spot with service and atmosphere this good deserves to be busy. Jimmy Hula’s feels like a hidden gem, and Jonathan alone is worth the visit.
Highly recommend stopping in, come hungry, grab a cold beer, and enjoy the genuine good vibes.
I always order the Kingston tacos, and they never disappoint—consistently fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The restaurant itself has a relaxed beach-inspired aesthetic with plenty of comfortable seating options. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy great food and great vibes.
We were immediately greeted by the cheerful and helpful staff. Jonathan took our orders with radiant positivity, cheerfulness, and superb customer service that made our day.
My mom and I both had the Aloja Burger with different fries (mojo & voodoo). Both were fantastic and perfectly cooked. Jonathan made sure we had everything we needed and even gave us unprompted to-go drinks.
We will be coming back 10/10. Prices were also completely reasonable
Food was yummy and ice cold delicious draft beer.
I had to wait 40 minutes for my cup of fries. My husband’s fries came out with his meal. I saw many other people get their fries who came in way after us. We had to remind them about my and my daughter’s fries and they brought out only one so I gave it to my daughter as she ordered the same fries. I then had to wait another 20 minutes for mine to show up, long after everyone had already been done eating. I flagged down who appeared to be a manager and let her know I had been waiting 40 minutes for my fries. Luckily she brought it out in two minutes. If this was a one off thing then I wouldn’t be reporting this.. but it’s happened multiple times. I literally go here for the mojo fries so when they frequently forget to bring them .. what’s the point in going?
