Palermo is the gem of Vermont. There’s a lot of Italian food around but not only is the food really good here, the atmosphere is unmatched for the area. It has such a friendly neighborhood feel, everyone who works there is so kind. They always give you free stuff (on our last visit post Valentine’s Day we were given chocolate and a piece of tiramisu). The prices are so reasonable especially for the area. If you’re looking for Italian food with great vibes, this is the spot.

You can tell this place is a classic the second you step inside. It feels like a warm hug. And the food is incredible. Some of the best pizza I’ve had in LA. We ate the ENTIRE pie in one sitting (see photo evidence). The service was also a delight. Our server placed our first slices on our plates for us with a smile and good humor. We WILL be returning.

After a long drive and an extremely hangry travel companion, we landed on Palermo’s. They have a parking lot that they validate off Russell Ave. If you’re not dining, they charge $$$, but if you’re eating, you don’t need to worry about paying an exorbitant amount, I believe it’s free. Since we were sleep deprived, we didn’t see that but parked in a neighboring street less than 5 mins walk to the restaurant.

Upon walking in, we were greeted by the owner Tony and his wife. He was quite a lovely man and we engaged in some friendly banter. His wife (whose name eludes me, and for that I apologize) brought us the complementary welcome sliver of pizza with a smile which made us so happy. They ordered the lasagna with minestrone; I ordered the eggplant parmigiana that included pasta and a salad with Italian dressing. I also ordered the cannoli.

The food tasted amazing, our respective soup and salad included complimentary bread. The soup was balanced, nothing too strong or acidic, with the flavors coming through. The salad was good and fit what I needed. The lasagna made them moan, and despite it being enough to feed a person or two, it was gone within 10 minutes. I enjoyed the eggplant parmigiana (gave me enough to feed two!), it was a bit softer than I was expecting for fried eggplant, however the flavor more than made up for it. And the spaghetti with marinara was delightful.

Cannoli was huge! And the cream inside was so tasty! Would order just for the filling alone.

Good for friends, family night, date night, or solo adventure. Okay so hear me out. Yes the dishes are approximately $25 for pasta. But it’s well worth it. If I make it out in that area again, I will be back!

After nice day Visiting the Griffith Observatory with my family, we stopped into Palermo for dinner. Everyone was friendly from the moment we arrived until we left. My family lives in NYC, Indianapolis and NJ, the food made us feel right at home with the well cooked spaghetti sauce (not gravy) to the complementary tiramisu’s. This is a great place to relax for a good Lasagna, gnocchi or veal parm.

On vacation. The place has a low light atmosphere so it’s great for intimate dinners. Ordered meat ravioli with white sauce which was delicious, barely added salt as the sauce was already flavorful. Had a salad with some yummy ranch and had some complimentary garlic bread. Service was on point, friendly and wonderful. Waiters came by to always top off our waters without us asking so I never went thirsty. The owner was very interactive and friendly as well. Will come back again when I come to vacation here in LA

Stopped here for dinner on a Friday night. We were promptly seated. The service was friendly and attentive. The calamari was good, but the pasta entree was so rich, and cream-heavy, not my cup of tea.
