Me and my boyfriend spent Valentine’s day at King Neptune’s and we couldn’t recommend it hard enough! The flavors really complimented each other on the entree as well as the dessert! 100% worth the price, the scallops were ridiculously good and the risotto was insane. 10/10 come here for a special occasion!

Was very excited to dine here after seeing their new chef and delicious looking food in posts online.
The fried oyster appetizer was tasty—frying in beef tallow is as delicious as it sounds.
We also had the mussels in green curry—also delicious.
This was followed by the shrimp and fried grit cake (grit cake was amazing but the shrimp didn’t taste fresh, more like frozen/rubbery, which was disappointing).
We finished off the meal with the strawberry bread pudding—the bread pudding was good but the only strawberry was a strawberry used for garnish. It sounded like the it was “strawberry bread pudding” (strawberries baked into the pudding) but that wasn’t the case, so not exactly as we understood it.
Nice atmosphere and service.

If I could give this place a 10, I would! This is fine dining and coastal casual all rolled into one! Food is out of this world, service was perfect, atmosphere relaxing and captivating at the same time! Thank you to our server Brooke for such great service. Thank you Chef ‘Em! Each course was outstanding. Your shrimp and grits goes down as one of thee best meals I’ve ever had! Keep up the great work King Neptune!

Chef Em knocked it out of the park with our brunch today! True to her roots, she prepared Maryland crab cakes that won the approval of a whole group of Marylanders. The French toast and biscuits and gravy were equally as impressive. We can’t wait to come back to try dinner!

Excellent choice! The restaurant is very conveniently located in the heart of Wrightsville Beach. It is very well appointed and the ambiance is excellent. Great seafood – I ordered a catch of the day which was Golden North Carolina tilefish. Grilled to perfection. Highly recommend this place while in the beautiful Wrightsville Beach.

This place is a gem. It’s a bit pricey but the food quality and pairings really make it seem like a value. The kids meals were HUGE and my kids really enjoyed what they ordered (they all got the chicken Alfredo). My husband and I split a salad and the fish market meal (I can’t remember the full name of it) but it was really really great. We were seated on the pirate side and we thought it was so fun and really added to the overall experience. Service was excellent and they were very accommodating to my gluten free needs. Presentation of the food is stunning. Highly recommend and will definitely be back for more.

Wow!!! This was by far one of the best places I have ever eaten!! The service was great and the food was even better!! This is a pricey place but the wait staff are of 5 star quality! They actually care about your experience and if you have allergy issues they are more than happy to accommodate and not once did we feel like it was a burden on them. We’ve been to quite a few high quality places but they just didn’t seem as accommodating as this place.
The food was excellent! When the shrimp and grits came out I wasn’t completely sure about because it definitely looked different than what I’m used to but it was phenomenal! The grit cakes we’re so good and I’m actually going to look up recipes now for grit cakes. I loved the goat cheese. I really appreciate a chef that uses a small amount of goat cheese because it gives a dish that is rich just the right bite.
The half chicken is exactly that!! Was a large amount of chicken but was great because you get to try each part of the chicken and they are a bit different. The jerk seasoning was not over the top which is what I tend to expect. The only suggestion I would have is to add a little seasoning sauce to the jasmine rice. Jasmine Rice is good on it’s on but some may find it to be a little dry.
This was such a treat and we can’t wait to come back to this beach if just for this restaurant!!

Exactly what you’d expect just don’t forget to look up at the glass rays! Food was delicious and timely. My Pineapple Express was strong & cute (note the frozen pineapple it’s served in). Location is ideal as they have their own parking across the street, and are a short walk to the beach. I recommend the deviled eggs if you’re looking for a new take on a classic! They add fried oysters.

Great food! Great server! We arrived at 1100 and learned that on Sundays they serve brunch 10am-2pm. I ordered the shrimp and grits at the advice of the service and it was delicious and a good portion. The grit cakes and toppings were so good I forgot it was shrimp and grits until I ate the stuff on top of the shrimps! (Usually the shrimp is the star of the show in shrimp n grits!) My husband had the two-egg breakfast with an extra side of sausage. Everything was cooked to perfection. The presentation of the food was good, the place looked super clean—even the bathroom smelled good! When in Wrightsville Beach, we plan to return. As a side note, congrats to Alexia (one of the servers) for completing her first triathlon a couple of weeks ago!
