La Bottega is honestly such a cool spot in downtown Vancouver. I went there with friends after school, and it totally surprised me. The place has this cozy, old school vibe but still feels kind of trendy like somewhere you’d see in a movie. The servers were super chill and friendly, and the food came out pretty fast.I got the pasta, and it was seriously tasty like, they know what they’re doing with sauce. My friend ordered a sandwich and said it was fire too. The only reason I’m giving it four stars instead of five is because it’s a little pricey for the portions. I mean, the food is quality, but my wallet cried a bit after. They also have a bunch of cool Italian drinks and desserts, which were fun to try. The tiramisu was next level. Overall, it’s a great place to hang out if you’re down for something a little fancier than your regular pizza spot. Definitely recommend it for a chill dinner or a cute date night..

Food was AWESOME! Make sure to try the Gorgonzola Cheesecake. Great way to start the meal. Lamb was cooked perfectly and was melt in your mouth tender. The lasagna was subtle but special. And the Apple Rhubarb Crisp was to die for.
But the best part of the evening was the service. We were celebrating our 20th anniversary. Every person we encountered, even the busboy, wished us a Happy Anniversary.
And I cannot say enough great things about our server, Tara! She made great suggestions on things to try, did a phenomenal job of pacing our meal and overall just made dinner a special event.
If you are looking for a great Italian dinner spot, make sure you put La Bottega at the top of your list!

Had the best service today thanks to Jessica! The chicken and bacon on focaccia is literally the best sandwich in town, and I get the gluten free version of the bread and cannot tell the difference. It is absolutely heavenly and all I was craving when I was away for some military training. I love this place so much. They also unexpectedly have the most delicious iced caramel latte. Anyways, this place doesn’t miss with service, quality, prices and the absolute delicious items they serve. Highly recommend!

This quaint location was recommended to us by someone on our flight. We had little intentions to do any heavy eating prior to our special evening dinner but we sat anyway. Jessica was our server and was fanatic with skill and attended to our taste and fancies. The menu had some original and home made selections. She brought us a savory cheese cake which was absolutely delicious and unique. Great sour dough. They have a good selection of wines and othe beverages. Hope to return some day.
Atmosphere is small and neat family friendly.

Was in town on a trip and needed a good Italian restaurant. This place hit the spot!
To start, the service was exceptional. Very attentive and informative. Guided us through a sampling of dishes. The Gorgonzola cheesecake was a great starter and the Smoked Mushroom ravioli stole the show for the entrees.
No reservations so get their early!

Unassuming cafe in a wonderful walking area. We had the burrata salad, Rueben, and Penne à la Vodka. All were spectacular. The service is fast and not at all pushy. The prices are better than more expensive restaurants with worse dishes.

We went here to celebrate a special occasion because I like their food and were super excited that they now take reservations. They asked on the phone if we were celebrating anything special, I said yes our 1 year anniversary. When we were there having dinner they didn’t mention it at all. I was a bit puzzled. Why bother to ask in the first place ♀️ that was kind of strange.
I’m only giving it a 3 star because of the noise level, there were a few vocal kids, which isn’t the restaurants fault. I’m not sure that they are quite to the status of taking reservations, maybe going back to just walk in is better suited for this establishment.

La Bottega has been in our sights for over the last few years. It took a while but we finally made it in on our 18th anniversary. As we approached this restaurant we loved its classic downtown Vancouver feel. The front door feels as though you are entering an old church. As you enter the restaurant, it gives off the old world Tuscany vibe, with familiar earth tones and smooth ease. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately. It was fairly low key when we arrived but picked up surprisingly for a Monday evening. Our Server was amazing. She answered every question with great information and patience. All and all it was a good experience. The major takeaway for us was that the food was over salted which is the reason for my four star vs five. And also a note of contention, if you are looking to replicate a truly Italian feel, have a choice of a house red or white offered in a carafe style serving. This would go a long way with people who truly understand authentic style Italian dining. Good spot. We will try again some day.

Wow wow, wow—how has La Bottega escaped me until now? Well, for certain we will be back! Soup of the day, perfect. Penne alla vodka, delicious. Sandwiches and chips, fantastic. The spirits options are plentiful and excellent selections. A must try is the bruschetta and antipasto platter if you like deli options. It is clear that everything which is served is prepared with great care and with the diners in mind. Fresh ingredients are used, serving sizes accommodate people’s preferences and are served in portions as they should be. In my opinion, nothing was overdone, the richness and complement of the flavors was balanced beautifully. Such an awesome dining experience! The deli counter inside is delightful and with the Italian music playing subtly and soothingly in the background, you can enjoy the full experience of your outing to this restaurant. There is a wine room in the back of the deli also. You can tell the employees enjoy where they work as service was amazing! The decor, the atmosphere, the food, the whole experience was so enjoyable! If on a budget, you can find enjoyable options which will well satisfy you. Be sure to sit on the patio weather permitting—you will feel as if you are transported to a city or town in Europe, it completes the whole experience! More photos to come on my next visit here…

Very disappointed. The food is overpriced and not tasty at all. The risotto had the texture of porridge, and the shrimp looked and tasted like overcooked, curdled protein. I honestly don’t understand how this place has such a high rating. I expected that at least the food would be good for the price.
There are refrigerators and merchandise standing right in the dining area, which definitely does not match a 4.7 rating. Overall, not worth the money.
