This was our first time in Ashville, we actually stopped at another restaurant and didn’t like the vibe and we ended up at The Social! The waitress came to the table and got our drink order and I asked her what her name was she said “Megan” and then asked me what my name was… instantly I felt at home! I don’t think I have ever had a waitress stop by our table as much as she did! We absolutely loved it there, the food was amazing the speed of service was impressive and the atmosphere was fun with live music. If we lived here this would definitely be our go to place for date night! I attached photos which taking them was an afterthought so we had already started eating so excuse the bite marks!! lol. Megan explained that it was her family’s business and I believe they are an Ashville treasure.

We visited with a group of eight people and were so happy with everything! Even with a football game going on and a mostly full bar, it was easy to have conversations without having to shout.
Tanya was amazing – friendly, funny, and attentive. Great prices on the food and drinks, and the wings were BIG and crispy! We can’t wait to come back for more Bills games, try some spicier sauces, meet more friendly people, and enjoy the rest of the menu!

Popped in to order food to go and ended up grabbing a drink while I was waiting. Definitely a hole in the wall vibe that looks to be the spot for locals. Everyone seemed friendly and laid back. I was immediately greeted when I walked in by a very lively waitress. There was karaoke on at the time, mainly country songs if that’s your thing. Outside front patio seating area and the pool tables were popular.
Food took a bit to come out, but from the looks of it, there was only one cook in the kitchen. Tatchos left a little to be desired. The “chili” seemed to be just about 10 lonely kidney beans – no meat or sauce to speak of. The chopped onions were comically large. The MacDaddy patty was cooked to order as I liked. Unfortunately, it barely had any sauce and was the chopped lettuce was entirely missing. Again, the chopped onions and pickles were very generous in size.
Overall, it’s your basic bar with basic food. Don’t come here expecting bougie cocktails and a gourmet meal. It shines in the “social” aspect well. Very inviting environment and clientele to interact among.

GREAT food! Best burger we’ve had in a long time! Waiter was very friendly. We were told by a bartender in black mountain that this is THE place watch football, drink beer and eat lunch! She was right!!

I had a great time at The Social in Asheville! Met some amazing people, the atmosphere was super welcoming, and the pool was a fun bonus. Karaoke was a blast and really brought everyone together. Definitely a spot to check out if you’re looking for good vibes and great company!

We had ordered an appetizer which came out the same time as the food.
The burgers we ordered were pretty good, hand made patties on a butter toasted bun. The appetizer and the fries were so salty you could almost not eat them, had to dip them in the ranch dressing or Ketchup to cover up the salt. All in all, not a bad place, again super friendly staff and patrons and the burgers were really good. Food was over priced for what you get. 2 burgers, appetizer, and 2 sodas was $40.00

As a LONG TIME regular. I went to have some drinks with my girls and granted one of my girlfriends did get cut off. Which is understandable. I in the other hand had 2 drinks and then was also cut off. Which is fine aslo. The issue is when I was waiting for my guy friend to get his last drink at the bar and I had carried it to the round table to then play pool. The lady who cut me off followed me all the way to the table and then said “ I said you were cut off so now you are BAND “
“BAND FOR LIFE”. One, I didn’t drink anymore after being cut off … 2 why I was cut off after 2 drinks is actually CRAZY . 3. For someone who has been going here to my local bar for 10 years and being band for nothing is just wrong . It would have been one thing if the lady had tried to have a conversation with me instead of COMPLETELY TRIPPING over nothing. I will not recommend any one to come here … lack of judgement and poor management. Thank you .
