How do you know that the food is good is when you take it home and eat it cold! When we went I didn’t really have an appetite but later I took a bite of that street taco and it was fire! Seasoned well still juicy and I should have ordered more! Yall I found me a new place to go to.

This place has some solid food and will definitely go back if I am in the area again. My only complaint would be don’t sit at the bar if it’s cold out as the door opens and the draft you will feel. As soon as I walked in I was created and asked if I needed a table or bar. Bartender gave some advice and it was solid on the LA and Birria tacos were awesome. They provide a ridiculously large portion of chips that are fresh and delicious. Parking can be tough. I also didn’t find it too loud and I am old.

Cant rate service and atmosphere because I got takeout via Uber Eats. Nachos with shredded chicken is bland and doesnt even have anything other than cheese and chicken. No spices or flavoring. The 5 dollar tacos were underwhelming and small. The 5 dollar cheese dip was so small. We ordered a small bag of chips because we had a feeling they weren’t going to give us any (which is standard for mexican restaurants). The salsa was super small portion. Completely underwhelming and for 42 dollars before taxes, im surprised they’re still in business, must be the population that wants mexican food but not real mexican food. Check out the photos.

I called a week ahead and made a reservation for a larger party. Upon arriving, they had forgotten about the reservation, but made it right and did decently quickly set up for our party. Our waitress was hands down incredible. She was kind, patient, and very attentive. The service and atmosphere was great. The restaurant seemed cleaned. The food was OK. The queso, chips, and salsa all were amazing. I also got stuffed jalapeños, those were incredible. The rice and chicken were bland though for an ACP, compared to other locations.

I forgot to grab pictures of my food, but I’ll say this: if you haven’t been, take this as your sign to head over if you’re in the area craving. My first time going earlier this afternoon left me impressed, and excited to visit again.

I ordered an appetiser of chicharrones, and 3 al pastor tacos, my coworker who showed me this place ordered a torta, but I forget what kind. While the chicharrones were a more modern version than what I would hope for, that personal opinion of mine doesn’t take away from their flavor. The tacos de al pastor were delightful–and they did not skimp out on how much meat they load them up with. The torta was the size one would expect from any reputable/respectable Mexican restaurant can offer, and he ended up not being able to finish it and taking the remainder home. We received a fair amount for the price my coworker and I paid.

The service was above and beyond. Without calling for our waiter, they would come around pouring refills for our drinks, extra napkins, checking on how we’re enjoying our food, you name it, without being too overbearing or hovering. I’m sure if there was anything else we wanted, they would have helped us out faster than we could finish asking.

The outside view from the parking lot has mostly mirrored windows, but all one would look for is the big “open” sign. Inside has plenty of indoor seating, the music playing in the background matched the decor of interesting art on the walls and trendy neon signs like “Feed me tacos and tell me I’m pretty”, but not too loud we couldn’t hold conversation. Not too hot, not too cold, as I was in a pair of jeans, cowboy boots, and a tee shirt and polo.

Easy recommend, easy revisit. I’m personally excited for more opportunity to explore their food and drink menus.

This was a one time experience. My wife and I went on a couples date with our friends and we ordered the birria tacos. My friend was served cold birria tacos and Elote. From my understanding I feel like maybe the food was left out because we were waiting a long time. Sometimes restaurants will serve an order that got cancelled. We asked them to make another order but they warmed the plate up and it was lukewarm. We left and didn’t come back. The quality of the food that I had was decent for Jacksonville, I typically go to Raleigh for Mexican food and Chicano food.

This place had great reviews so we decided to give it a shot!

I usually don’t factor price into a rating (you can always check the prices online before you come in and not go if it’s too expensive) but across the board this place was pretty expensive for being a Mexican restaurant in a city full of pretty good Mexican places. Most aggregious was the $8.50 large Modelo. Margaritas were also pretty expensive but at least they were a little larger. Most plates ran $15+ and the lunch portions were still $9. May actually be cheaper to get stuff alacarte than get a plate to be honest. The main reason I’d probably go elsewhere next time I’m in the mood for Mexican.

Moving past price, this place had real style — the menus looked great and matched the interior decor. Artwork throughout was great and they had a hip vibe that didn’t try too hard. Music was good, but it was too loud (to the point that it made conversation difficult) and upset one of my kids. Kid needs to get over it but that was how loud it was, if you are sensitive to loud noise order to go!

Food was really good. Wife isn’t a fan of Mexican food but she really liked the fish tacos she ordered. Kids enjoyed the chicken taco and the cheese quesadilla, both with rice. I thought the refried beans tasted pretty plain compared to other replaces I’ve been when I sampled my kid’s refried beans.

I ordered the A.C.P. – chicken strips with a rich cheese sauce and rice. I’ve had a similar dish before and loved it but the cheese sauce was a little too salty and rich by the end. Though the salsa and queso dip we ordered was really thin and watery. Overall food quality was very good though.
Wait staff was decent, no drawbacks but not a standout. Solid 4 out of 5 stars, give it a shot.

Overall average. Im married to a Mexican woman who kills it in the kitchen. When I think Mexican ui think fresh made to order. I know some things cant be either or both for sake of time. But a burger should be. Especially with a Wendy’s next door. Top patty cold bottom super hot (strike1). Asked to fix it, Chef Mike (microwave) did his best. Bun was uncomfortably hot and outside of patty was hot center cold (strike 2). I never bit into it. I cut the patty dry and cold. $14 wasn’t charged. I wont allow a strike 3. I just sat there and waited til the WHOLE family 14+ was finished. My family overall said the food was okay. Kids portion should be more for $8 mac & cheese instead of plate use the salsa bowl it was about that much Especially for it looking boxed like kraft. I paid for my family of 4, $63 (i didnt eat my burger and fries Un bitten NOT 1 BITE was removed). I think it might seem like I hate this place I DO NOT. I recommend them for sure but if you eat home cooked Mexican then maybe not so much. I will say one thing this is probably the better one period in Jacksonville NC! Overall not bad small but accommodating friendly smiles okay food. Please remember this is just an OPINION.

So so good! The reviews were definitely right; the quesabirria tacos were so so good! And very filling! Also got the elote and that too was very good! If I lived in the area it would be my go to place for sure! Really wanted to try the birria ramen they were out for the night.
$17 for my food but definitely enough to probably split between 2 people!
Staff were very friendly even though I did go in a little late 🙂

Food is still good, the burritos are still huge and that’s the only thing that’s huge. I’m glad they didn’t use plastic anything this time. They weren’t stingy with the meat. Food is delicious. A little greasy but had lots of flavor.

Food comes out super fast even if they forgot to bring out my daughter’s meal. The place was packed with people. Sounded like they were short staffed. I had to ask for silverware because there wasn’t any. I had to keep asking for more salsa because they gave only a little bit.

I had to get up twice to ask them about my daughter’s meal but they were already coming out with it. They didn’t give me us a phial of salsa that I asked for instead gave me a very small full bowl. They gave a table that came in after us lots of salsa. Phials of it. It is bad service not to treat everyone with equal respect. Our drinks weren’t refilled at all. Service is a big deal. Bad service ruins experiences.

I’m a paying customer that would have paid extra for what I asked and good service. The man who was a waiter did give us lemon slices that I asked for. They did give us extra napkins without asking before ordering.

I hit my head on their lamp because it’s too low. I’m not tall. I come to a restaurant for food and food service. There is no excuse for bad service but the food was good. Place is better for take out not dine in.
