If you love pizza with an overload of cheese this is the place to go! You can choose from a wide variety of toppings and they are always generous with them. That said the pizza is very good (but not quite great), the atmosphere not quite as cozy as you’d expect from a pizza joint, and while the service is generally spot-on, sometimes they let little things slip. (I heard one person who answered the phone to take my carry out order call me a “weird guy,” not realizing the phone wasn’t hung up. Funny, but not THE most professional move in the world. It’s a little pricey but it’s better than any other chain pizza place, hands-down.

Local favorite serving up large variety of pizza, sandwiches etc. They have a full bar as well. The dining area as large and the atmosphere is casual, laid back.
Prices are reasonable and service is decent and pretty quick. My lower stars are primarily because I just don’t think the pizza is very good. The crispy crust just tastes burnt and the house crust is too sweet. This is personal preference I guess because a lot of folks love it here!

I just love the Pizza here. Staff has always been extremely friendly. They always make me feel like I’m their favorite customer. I’m most likely not, but they sell it so I believe it. Good enough for me.

I love this location with one exception. The food is great and service is pretty good as well. Everyone is nice. Clean bathrooms. Pizza is on point and they do great salads. Drinks are kept refilled. The exception, the parking lot is pitch black. I had to turn the light on my phone when leaving. There are some tiny lights and one of the businesses near but once you move a couple of feet away, again it’s pitch black, even if you park along the front walk. Be very aware if you go at night.

So I ordered a large pizza with all the toppings on the bottom and cheese on top well done as I have many times before at this same location and their messed up my order. Now normally I check my pizza before I leave but it’s cold outside so I rushed out the store once I saw that I had my extra dressings for my Caesar salad and I headed home cuz I wanted to eat my pasta that I bought as well I didn’t want it to be cold. So I got all the way home up three flights of stairs into the kitchen opened up the pizza box in the order was wrong So I got back in my car and I drove back to the store and on my way back to the store I called them to let them know what was going on and I asked him to remake my order so it could be high in fresh so my food my spaghetti wouldn’t be cold and my Caesar salad wouldn’t be wilted and the lady told me even though they wrote down my order as I requested that they were only willing to remake the pizza but I had to go ahead and take my clothes spaghetti and my possibly will to Caesar salad even though it was their error and I’m all for great customer service and that is not what I received I didn’t even receive good customer service but I did get my refund no apologies nothing but I got my refund in three business days of course If I do eat at Minsky’s again it definitely won’t be the one on state line. It’d be different if it was not freezing outside you know but just the lack of customer service in the tone the facial expression when I walked in there I was just disgusted but I cut my cool got my refund and went on my way but I don’t recommend this place not the one on State line anyway If I do get Minsky’s again I’ll venture further and hopefully the customer service will be better.

3) Lots of seating area
4) The Five Star Cheese with garlic and pepperoni is heavenly (but probably a heart attack and a half). The “cupping pepperoni” is placed on top instead of under the cheese like the normal pepperoni at minsky’s, so it actually ends up getting cooked a bit
Cons:
1) (On our first couple of trips) Very skimpy on toppings (what you see is double pepperoni toppings on the pepperoni half (we ordered both kinds of pepperoni). The deep dish pizza was around 8/9ths floods crust with a smidge of sauce and cheese on top. Edit – I’ve added a couple images showing the 2-3 pepperonis per slice we later got on our to-go pizza
2) (On our first couple of trips) Price is a bit higher than I’d expect for the pizza size and topping quantity.

Minsky’s has been my favorite pizza place since high school in the late 70’s (Yes! I was born in the 1900’s ). I love the options (I’m vegetarian), the quality of the food, and the atmosphere. There are other pizza places that come close, but this my 1st choice. I’ll always come back.

I have been coming to this Minskys since is opened out here and went to 51st street before that. Unfortunately it has changed drastically in the last year or two. Not sure why but a couple of times staff members were down right rude. This is very uncharacteristic for this restaurant. Tonight, as always, I requested they pull pizza out a second or two early so cheese isn’t burned on top but , as you can see by picture, it wasn’t. I also had a hair on the bottom of the pizza too. Please, please go back to your old ways Minskys. My whole family are frequent customers of yours!!
