The food and atmosphere is 10/10. My boyfriend and I got the carne asada, crispy salmon for our ‘Large plates’, Potatoes w/ Chipotle aioli, and sweet potato for our sides. I think the cocktails could’ve definitely had better presentation for the price ($18-22) I got a mocktail and it looked better than the 2 cocktails my boyfriend got. Other than that, we loved everything. Our server Alejandra was amazing! She took our pictures after dinner. They had dancers come out after 8pm, it was a nice vibe. (This was also to celebrate my bfs 25th!)

my experience at gitano couldn’t have been better. the ladies at the host station welcomed me and my party so kindly and kayla and orlando were so attentive. my food came out quickly and was so tasty. the drinks were great, i will definitely be recommending this place to my friends who come in town. the live dj mixing and the views of the bridge just sealed the experience.

I chose this restaurant after doing a lot of research and brought my friend here to celebrate my birthday. I had noted it was my birthday when making the reservation, but when we arrived, it seemed like the staff had no idea at all. The restaurant was very empty, and there was no birthday dessert or any kind of acknowledgment. The space felt quite hollow and quiet.
The only positive was that the food came out quickly, probably because there were very few guests. However, we were asked to leave at 10 p.m. when they closed, which didn’t feel very welcoming for a birthday dinner.
The portion sizes were small — the “large plates” were basically the same size as the small plates. The food itself tasted good, but nothing particularly impressive or memorable. Overall, it’s a decent place for photos, but the experience didn’t live up to expectations for a birthday celebration.

I had such an amazing time here! Group of 3 of us girls. The food was absolutely incredible, drinks as well and the workers were the nicest!! Jose was great, he checked up on us and even suggested some menu options! All i can say was that it was a bit cold and a little pricey but worth it nonetheless!

By far the best restaurant i have been to. The manager Ral has been the best person to assist when anything is needed. Anything i needed he was there to assist. As well as our waitress Ell, I cannot say shes perfect but she is super close to it. the energy and enthusiam well very met. the love and attention they gave was far from what i expected. they took good care of me and my friends while we were there for dinner. this is a spot id come back to. The food was super quick and was very delicious. I see myself coming to this spot in the future. I can say this will be my spot to come to whenever i need a good drink and great food . I love it !!!

Went here in a group of 8. Reservations recommended. A place with An Absolutely gorgeous ambience, which also turns into a club at 11pm. Also has great views of the Brooklyn bridge.

Alejandra was absolutely amazing. From the moment we sat down she made us feel so welcomed and taken care of. Her energy was perfect, her recommendations were spot on, and she genuinely elevated the entire experience. Gitano is already a vibe, but Alejandra made it unforgettable. Can’t wait to come back and ask for her again!

This place is extremely TERRIBLE!!! The food and service was TRASH!! Overpriced and food was not good at all. I get these “high end” restaurants need to charge what they charge but the food was DISGUSTING. I asked for medium well carne asada and it was completely pink. If it was that undercooked I wouldn’t think it would be THAT CHEWY but it was. Sooo poor quality food. It also took foreverrrrrr for the staff to serve us. We would have to wave them down continuously to come to our table. There was an automatic 20% surcharge for gratituity for about $120 because we were a table of six. We would not have left THAT amount for anyone working there! The aesthetic for the pictures is what gets people to come here. And there is NO VALET or place to park so be prepared to go on a HIKE just to go here even though I would not recommend anyone going here.
