This was a wonderful experience! The food was very tasty and the dancing was great. The ‘host’ even had a little comedy to keep you engaged. The decorations were nice too and it really gives you a small feeling of being on The Big Island.

Absolutely LOVED this place! As we were coming from Indiana we made a day of it and went to woodfield mall first, then drove just about 15 mins to tiki terrace. At first we were a bit confused as they are in a strip mall, just kind of an odd location, but don’t let that fool you. The place is decorated top to bottom inside! I LOVE A good tiki bar and this place was adorable. We went for the show on a Wednesday, and the price was very on point for all the other dinner shows I’ve ever been to. They do not skimp with the food! We all had a ton of leftovers. The food was good but the show was really the best part….. the dancers knew their stuff.
We sat and ate at about 5:30, show was from 6:30-7:30. Lots of dancing and not over the top with crowd interaction(I hate when there’s too much time spent on chatting with the guests)- a great balance. When the show was over both of my kids literally got up and hugged me and thanked me for bringing them because they had such a good time.
HIGHLY recommend – tons of fun.

A perfect example of not judging a book by its cover. Doesn’t look like much on the outside, but once you step through the doors, the “Aloha” vibe kicks in, and the lighting and decor almost immediately immerse you in the tropical mood. Little did we know that we made it just in time for the live entertainment of Hula dancers – an unexpected surprise for us. Reservations are HIGHLY recommended, per the hostess but, thankfully, we were able to be seated. The service was very friendly and the food was great – my daughter was served almost a whole plateful of the coconut chicken with sides, and my (picky) son ordered the Kalua pork, which he really liked. My dish had maybe a small fist-sized slab of salmon (half of what is shown in the website, and the reason for losing a star) and a large portion of Hawaiian mac and two ice-cream scoops of furikake rice. The luau show was very entertaining and also involved the parties to participate in and learn a few of the dances. A fun time for me and the kids!

Our family had so much fun at Hang Loose Wednesday! Everyone enjoyed the dish they chose, and the show was engaging. Our server was very attentive. If you are looking for something fun and different to do in the suburbs, this is it.
My only warning is that not all seats have an equally good view of the stage. We were fine with our location, but we did overhear some others who were disappointed with their location. If that is very important to you, I would ask about it when they call to confirm your reservation.

We had a large party of 23 however 2 could not make it and luckily they didn’t because there wasnt enough seating for our full party. We were charged for the people who didnt make it. They put us in the corner with a seperate both behind the table which was not specified in the contract. They forgot to mention the birthday person when making shout outs despite multiple reminders. The food, drinks and atmosphere were good, no complaints there. I would come back but would not recommend a large party. Very pricey for what you get

I surprised my boyfriend for his birthday with the dinner and show. We got the big island package. We had a blast. Note, that all of the dinner and show options are by reservation only so if you want to see the show, you need to plan ahead. I think it’s worth seeing at least once. I haven’t gone during their normal dining hours, but I do plan to visit again to try other menu items since the dinner and show menu is a select menu.

The outside doesn’t look like anything special but once you go inside it’s like you’re transported to a different place. The food was delicious. It was a lot of food. I had to take some of it home. The mai tai was amazing.

I was very blown away from entering this tiny cute restaurant. I was expecting mediocre decor etc BUT no! It is full on Hawaiin decor. It’s so nice and cute! Our bartender/server Jessica, was so sweet and made really good drinks.
The pineapple drink is so cool, I really liked it.
My coconut shrimp was delicious, very coconutty. The egg rolls were too good and they give you a lot! The loco moco with spam was very very tasty!
Would come back, it’s really good.

I reserved an early Saturday night dinner and show with my family. According to their website, it is recommended to arrive between 3:30 and 4:30 so that you get a chance to drink and eat before the show. We arrived at 4:15 and our table was right in the front, middle by the stage. Its $50 per adult and $23 per kid. That includes a salad, main course, dessert, and the show. Of we had to get drinks on top of that. Costs about $14 each for my Pina Colada and my husband’s Mai Tai but they make it look so pretty! We also had an appetizer of Bora Bora Eggrolls, which is also an extra $12. They were crispy and tasty. The salad was delightful and fresh with the perfect dressing. My husband and I shared two meals: The Kalua Pork and Coconut Chicken. They were both delicious but I really enjoyed the Kalua Pork: so juicy & tender(as advertised on the menu) and that Guava BBQ sauce was yummy. The coconut chicken was well fried &.scrumptous. My almost 7 yr old ordered the kids cheeseburger with fries. That, too, was completely demolished. The show started around 5:20pm. This beautiful lady walks on stage blowing a horn and two other beautiful ladies walk on stage. The first lady was the main emcee and dancer herself while the other two were dancers. They all performed so well and kept us entertained. Mid show the Emcee announced all the birthday celebrants and anniversary celebrant. It was nice they were all acknowledged and I wish I had said on the reservation that I was celebrating something but I wasn’t, and so I didn’t. Near the end they called up some male volunteers on stage to follow and dance. A little audience participation is always fun. Although on the pricey side, overall it was a great experience. A place to take a friend or relative to celebrate a special occasion or like me, just to celebrate summer.

One of our favorite restaurants to visit. Their food and service never disappoint! We went to the dinner show with my parents and kids. It was our kids first time and everyone enjoyed it. The food was delicious! The Haupia cake is the best! The server was very friendly and helpful. The show was enjoyable. A great trip to the Islands near Chicago!
