A neighborhood staple ever since opening, Backroads Burger & Bar is the place to go for great food, amazing service, and a memorable time. Located in Plainfield, IL, we’re serving up all of the classics alongside our very own original creations, which are made with nothing but the best ingredients. This was a great place. We came here for a friend’s reunion for Mo. It was perfect as we didn’t have an idea as to how many would show. When more showed than expected they were great to accommodate us moving tables together. The burgers and fries were delicious. And the drinks mixed perfectly. And a little piece of home in the corner with the TN vols flag. We will go back here.

This local burger bar is constantly hopping! Reservations not required but if you’re not willing to wait, call. We walked in and were quoted 20-25 minutes but luckily were sat within 2. Service was friendly and quick. Perhaps too quick, as our appetizer and burgers came out at the exact same time. Angry shrimp were tasty though not as spicy as I would expect for the name. Also the angry shrimp were not hot temp wise.
We both ordered burgers medium, but mine was much more towards well than my husband’s which was perfect.
Still a tasty experience overall.

Absolutely love the bourbon Burger! The Crazy Crurds were absolutely delicious too!! We both had their sweet tea and it was fresh and delicious.
They have more than just burgers as well! Even have kid friendly options!

We absolutely love this spot! It has a fun, laid‑back atmosphere, and both the restaurant and bar are always well staffed. The team here is incredibly welcoming and friendly — special shout‑out to Sharon, who has taken care of us several times and is always such a joy. The food is excellent, especially if you’re a burger fan. We had a fantastic time watching the Bears game here; the crowd was lively, and the raffles plus free buffet made the afternoon even better.

Fabulous service today from Taylor. Super nice and attentive. My sis is scared to try all the amazing burgers (every one is amazing, my fav is Me So Corny) but has decided if they ever bring the 3 AM burger back, that will be the first one she tries.
Old review: We always have a great experience. We love taking out of towners here. Everyone is always very impressed! They always want to come back to visit again…so I don’t recommend bringing out of towners you prefer out of town.
BOTM was AMAZING!!! This Ain’t Your Mama’s Cookie Bake is a burger I have wanted to try FOREVER and my life is now complete (if you read the old review you will see whyl). It was WORTH THE WAIT! AMAZINGGGG
Old reviews: We just went back and the menu has changed. I was a littke bummed when I realized they no longer had the cookie dough burger, as that was what I was planning on getting. The burger of the month was Me So Corny and I went with that. Omg YUMMMMMMM!!! GREAT service once again! So glad we found this place!

Had to come back, try different items on the menu and bring my daughter.
I had the sliders, my daughter had the chicken wrap, and my fiancé had the bourbon burger. All great choices. Food comes out fast and our server was spot on. They have consistently delivered and again our favorite place to get a burger! I opted for green beans vs fries and they were amazing.
