Upon arriving we were greeted and immediately seated and brought a sample of the most amazing grits you’ll have in ATL. We came for a late lunch on Saturday and were just in time to experience brunch as well as dinner items.

the names of drinks were quirky and fun. Whether you are an ATL native or a visitor you will enjoy the playfulness!
Let’s talk atmosphere and vibe. Unmatched. Warm, inviting makes you want to stay for hours. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. Our server was knowledgeable and extremely attentive. Her recommendations were all on point and our group was happy with everything we ordered.
Absolutely worth a visit if you are looking for a delicious meal and excellent service. Cannot say enough great things about this hidden ATL treasure.

Mom‘s wanted fried shrimp. I googled and this place came up with top reviews. It’s 26 minutes from Jonesboro so I was hesitant, but realizing Jonesboro is a food desert, I was willing to make the drive to try something new/better. Forest Park has better food options but it’s highly surveillance with police officers. All the black areas are. Upon entrance, I was greeted from the bar from two beautiful Queens and from a Chef. The chef asked if I wanted to try some grits when I sat at the bar to order to-go and I said of course. The grits were some of the best grits I’ve ever eaten, no lie. Perfect texture- perfect seasoning. I wanted to ask what he did to get them like that.
Jesus-the ladies are Beautiful. Goodness gracious. Miikaela was nice/thorough/smiling perfect skin, hair & nails (even gave me company history, offered beverages while I waited) Great service. Three other couples eating in different booths and I at the bar so it wasn’t crowded. DoorDash orders coming in. She explained the menu & favorites. Establishment looks new like they recently opened, they have a full bar, I can tell that as they continue to grow, they’ll continue to evolve. Food speed is great, prices are fair and they have specials.
Turkey neck-Delicious. Great taste and smells wonderful. I am going to throw it in some rice I have. I knew they were unique and country people like me because they are selling turkey necks and pork necks lol.
Salmon croquette-9/10 great portion and fried to perfection. The coating on the croquettes just a tad bit thick. It held together perfectly, great size and flavor, I just felt I noticed the bread a bit too much as I continue to chew. It wasn’t problematic enough to not order again, an easy fix. I’d order again + I ate every piece lol. Of course those grits are amazing, I believe they have dairy in them and I’m lactose intolerant, but I surely ate them today.
Wings- ask for sweet and tangy. Thank you for the recommendation. A really delightful flavor, perfect for the naked wings although you can get them breaded with sauce instead. Great size wing, and great value. 10/10
Fries-great portion, however, I prefer more of the natural crinkle cut of natural fry like Five Guys. These fries look like Checkers fries & seem to soak up more grease.
Fried Shrimp-they were OK, but they were a bit small so they gave us more than the listed count in which we appreciated – however because they were small they were easier to over fry and with little substance they weren’t as juicy. They went well with the steamed corn.
Corn- Top tier delicious corn. We scarfed it down and wanted more. You can put your favorite flavor on the corn.
I see why this place has great reviews. I want to come by again and try the breaded chicken, blue crab, crawfish, catfish, whiting & potatoes. I didn’t see any desserts I wanted. I’d recommend and come back to the Crab Trap.

It was our first time here but it definitely will not be the last. We had the Calamari as an appetizer. It was nice and crispy. For my entrée I had the Catfish and fries. Everything was seasoned to perfection… !! My Lady had the Snowcrab Trap sampler. Only thing left was the sauce. We got some of that good seasoned corn to go. Our waitress KP was Amazing. She was very attentive and answered all our questions about the menu.
We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu and experience this chill atmosphere.

Umbrella Travels
The fried fish at Crab Trap is currently my wife’s favorite of any restaurant right now. It is crispy, delicious, and seasoned well. I tried their spicy crawfish and they were also delicious and just the right amount of spice (I like them hot so order another flavor if you don’t). Mikaela was our Bartender and she was friendly and did a great job telling us about their menu. Drinks were good. Bar is a vibe. Carlos also did a great job completing our orders quick and efficiently. Me and the wife will be back for sure.

This place exceeded my expectations! I treated my mom here to celebrate her graduation, and we had an amazing time. The customer service was top-tier—friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. The food was outstanding, full of flavor, and cooked perfectly. We came to try this place for the 1st time!! Boy, it did not disappoint !!! 1st of all the ambiance is very laid back & with it being Sunday, games on all tvs. KP & Mikayla we’re working. Both being superb!! They were professional & KP made excellent suggestions. My hubby being a food snob had the shrimp boil, beef sausage potatoes & corn in spicey hot sauce. He said if he could get away with licking the paper he would I had the fish & shrimp basket. Everything was seasoned & cooked to perfection!! We most certainly will be back!

The seafood boil was excellent. The garlic butter sauce had a really good taste. My best friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our little lunch break there. We were there for happy hour and we had some great strawberry peach margaritas. I basically built my own bag with blue crabs, crab legs, eggs, beef sausage and potatoes. I added broccoli and shrimp for an extra charge. My only complaint was the size of the blue crabs. They were really small. We met KP and she was really nice and personable. She is the owner’s sister.

KP is on it when it comes to customer service. The food is so good a 10 score is to low. The flavor taste quality and quantity is all perfect. I’m a T pucker traveling through but this is my new spot. I love me some seafood being I’m from Louisiana it’s hard to find good seafood out of town but I’m so glad that I found this place. The music atmosphere everything all good. If you don’t try it you will be missing out. Last but not least one of my favorite The fried corn. Don’t miss out
