Very good. Went today for a light lunch and just for a break from the kids. Our waiter Dez was attentive and efficient and the food came out hot and delicious. We stuck to the small plate but each had a ton a flavor. I believe my highlight was the pot roast cheese fries. I was tentative about ordering think it might just be some fries with shredded cheese baked on top, but was pleasantly surprised when they were laid in a delicious cheese sauce topped with succulent pot roast. Will definitely be back.

Update 02/24/2017
We were in the area and decided to give the Grand Lux another try after our negative experience last year. To start, the service was not excellent. The restaurant was super busy, but our waitress was not very attentive, I waited more than 10 minutes for a straw after my drink had been delivered. Once the food was delivered the experience turned a little more positive. My Thai Fried Chicken was tasty and presented well. My dining companions also had similar experiences, though I was told that the omelets were dripping in cooking oil, which is not ideal.
Initial Visit 11/2017
It was incredibly busy tonight when we came for a visit, so we anticipated a bit of a wait. We were surprised when the hostess said it would only be 15 minutes. After waiting about 25 minutes we went and checked again, and were told again it should only be another 15 minutes. Finally about 45 minutes after that (after having waited more than hour, after being told repeatedly it would only take 15 minutes) we left. I don’t mind waiting, but I don’t like being told that it’s going to be 15 minutes when it’s going to take an hour or more. The interaction ended up being much more of a hassle than it needed to be.

This is an upscale but casual dining restaurant with reasonable pricing. We waited an hour to get in as we were a party of 11 though reservation were allowed for maximum of 6. A good selection of drinks were on offer and Calypso mojito was group’s favorite. All appetizers were amazing specially “crispy Thai shrimp and chicken spring rolls” and “volcano shrimp”. A great selection of entrees were on offer and everything we ordered tasted good. Even the desserts on offer were good specially the molten lava cake but it needs to be ordered 30 minutes in advance. Table service offered was excellent too. All in all a great place.

We went to this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. The food was delicious, but the table was too small for our party. And our waiter wasn’t attentive enough. They should add more staff on the busy weekend. We also had the beignets. The Jack Daniel’s sauce that comes with them is out of this world. We got crab cakes as an appetizer and they were freaking amazing. My only issue was I asked for additional cocktail sauce for my shrimp and they bought it out in a used ramekin. When I questioned our waiter he said they must have use a ramekin that had some ketchup in it before. WTF??! Although we had a few mishaps we’ll return to this restaurant.

I can’t lie, I wasn’t expecting the food to be so delicious! But it exceeded my expectations. It’s a beautiful atmosphere that they have incorporated, and it’s so cozy. The staff were very helpful and the waitress gave us exceptional service. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to impress their date or want to take the family out for a night on the town…trust me, this is the place. You WONT be disappointed. You. And you can thank me later!

Because I can’t do less than one star. We waited an hour before our meals came. Silverware, plates were filthy. Limes requested were dry, visibly. Because we waited so long they only bring out two shrimp with the meal and a minuscule piece of salmon. People seated after us received their apps and entrees. This was a horrible experience and disappointing. There many other places to go and this doesn’t need to be one of them. I didn’t even get my food since it took so long.

Just ok…no do over for me. Food was pretty bland and not worth the prices charged. Service was average . 4 mini Halibut fish tacos, way too crispy glazed brussel sprout, greasy volcano , some chicken meal, molten cake that took 30 minutes to arrive and 2 coffees $72. Totally not worth it.

I have never had a bad meal here, although my coworker did.
You could easily fill up on appetizers. We all loved the asian nachos. The fried pickles are the best in the area.
I ordered the chicken parmesan sandwich and it was awesome.
If you go for lunch, you may not need dinner since the portions are huge!

Grand Lux Cafe is basically another version of Cheesecake Factory. The place is fairly large, definitely a good place for large parties. They do a pretty good job of spreading out each table, skipping every other for that extra safety measure. The menu is quite extensive with a good variety of options similar to Cheesecake Factory: Asian, Italian, American, Mexican, etc. Portions are also on the larger side. Overall, it wasn’t anything special in my opinion, pretty standard American restaurant.
*DINNER*
– Grand Fried Calamari – nice color but a bit on the softer side, not as crispy as I hoped for. I liked the dipping sauce
– Pasta Pomodoro – standard pasta with tomato based sauce
– Cajun Shrimp & Chicken Jambalaya – It was my first time trying Jambalaya so I have nothing to compare this to or know what it’s supposed to taste like but this dish was decent. It wasn’t that spicy but it was seasoned pretty well.
*VERDICT*
I would not go back again on my own terms.

The food was ok. The salad I had was a joke like seriously it look like a 2 year old made it but it was good the little I was given. And when I got my main dish it was cold and had so many raw onions (which wasnt stated on the menu). I’m allergic to raw onions. Smh
