High end table top Korean bbq spot with private karaoke rooms in the back. The wait staff will cut and cook the steaks for you. Everything shared and a lot of premium items can boost the bill up fast without a plan. Went to the private karaoke rooms after and had a blast, more buckets of beer and passable renditions of pop songs to end the night.

We made a reservation for 14 and were seated right away. Great spot for large groups. We ordered 3 combos for our table with beer, sangria and wine. What an amazing spread. The soups, bonchon and meats were amazing. We were in town visiting our kids from college and had a blast. Service was friendly, attentive and quick. Plus Joseph cooked all the food for us and did an awesome job. Thank you! We loved it and can’t wait to come back.

We came in on a slow Sunday afternoon about 3pm. We randomly decided that it was a karaoke kind of day. The place was empty but Eric set up the downstairs bar for us and gave us stellar service throughout our 3 hour rampage through random songs sets. The bar snacks were great- we had some kimchi pancakes, wings and pork dumplings.
The atmosphere is cool and they have private rooms. Eric told us that there is going to be happy hour specials soon for the newly completed karaoke bar downstairs. We can’t wait to try them and also the upstairs Korean barbecue.
The food and atmosphere were great but I can’t emphasize enough how welcome Eric made us feel- even though we were alone downstairs (Sunday at 3pm is not prime karaoke time).

Simplistic and delicious. I crave Korean food and was pleased to come across Gunbae on the lower west side. We ordered japchae with veggies and tofu bibimbap, along with banchan – it was an absolute perfect lunch! Service was friendly, attentive and food came out quick. We came on a Wednesday at noon when they opened without a reservation & we were seated right away.

Came here with a group of 15 out of town guests. Ellie took our reservation and was so easy to work with. Our servers were friendly and attentive; Joseph took the time to explain the menu and how it all worked. The meat was super tasty and great quality. Definitely a must go, especially if you’re a big group looking for great Korean BBQ, this is the place to be. Thank you for a fun experience!

Gunbae is a super fun Korean BBQ spot in Tribeca where dinner turns into a whole experience. The vibe is lively and social — you can grill prime cuts of beef, pork, and chicken right at your table, which makes it great for groups or a night out with friends.
I loved how flavorful the meat and sides were, and the cocktails and soju pair really well with the food. What makes it stand out is the entertainment — you can head downstairs to private karaoke rooms after your meal and keep the party going, which adds an extra layer of fun you don’t get at typical BBQ places.
The place does get busy, especially on weekend nights, so reservations are a good idea, and it’s definitely more lively (and a bit noisy) than a quiet dinner spot. Overall, it delivered both great food and a memorable, energetic experience.

Had a terrible experience while dining here. I was really excited to try this restaurant out after seeing the wide variety on the menu. However, i was hesitant to after seeing the B health review on the door. The servers were inattentive to me and my friends. We constantly had to get their attention to place our order, ask for water/refills, and after receiving our order they didn’t check up on us once. The food itself was decent but the service was horrible. They weren’t even that busy to ignore us. For that reason I wouldn’t come back. We were fed up to the point where when we were ready to pay and leave it took them over 15 mins to get the check from us so we had to get up and go to the front ourselves. I wouldn’t go back here again.

We visited this well-maintained restaurant for dinner on a Thursday night. It was quite busy, with most tables displaying reserved signs. Despite the crowd, the layout was thoughtfully spaced, so it didn’t feel overcrowded. I appreciated the bench design with built-in storage—it was convenient for stowing our belongings. The BBQ was flavorful, especially the spiced pork belly, though the portion sizes were on the smaller side. A staff member handled the grilling for us and cooked the meat perfectly. We especially enjoyed the side dishes, and the waitstaff were happy to provide refills when we asked. Overall, it was a great experience—we just wish the portions were a bit more generous.

Traditional Korean fare in downtown NYC. Comes with free condiments to give you a good starter before the main course comes about. Soup abit blend and the taste of the food have definitely deviated from the traditional Korean fare.
Atmosphere is great for a get together for sure.
