We had our wedding here and it was perfect. The food was amazing, the staff did their job amazingly. They cleared plates and brought out everything in waves. They knew when to give us space and when to be present. The owner was so accommodating and nice. He let us setup very early and made us feel so welcome. I am beyond grateful to this location and everyone who was a part of our special day. You made it the best we could have hoped for.

A wonderful old world restaurant fit for any meal or celebration. A first visit for us while visiting the area. The menu is extensive. Food is good. Not top cuisine, but solid good food. Service was good when we visited ( Sunday brunch in the summer)…so hard to tell how service is during dinner etc. The atmosphere is a quiet elegance. Definitely a place we would visit again when in the area.

The Manor Tavern was excellent overall! We are visiting from NJ and stopped by here to eat. The staff offer a new drink too, smoked old fashioned that opens up when you popped it! Wife had filet and I had short ribs, excellent with no fat on either. Thank you!

First time here, we had the oysters and fried green tomatoes as appetizers both delicious, just wish the oysters were bigger. I had the mushroom toasty as my meal and that was amazing, the bread was toasted on the skillet with butter, mushrooms were cooked to perfection, cheese was nice and melted, and green beans were a nice touch.

10/10 food
10/10 service
10/10 atmosphere

I will be coming here every year for my birthday.

The Manor Tavern is a lovely restaurant and venue in the beautiful Monkton countryside. Service was friendly enough; however, the food was disappointing. Ordered the “Autumn Bounty” salad, which – according to the menu – consisted of arugula, spinach, butternut squash, poached pears, bleu cheese crumbles, and candied pecans with a “spicy honey dressing.” Sounded delicious!
When it came, noticed that the candied pecans were nowhere to be found, the pears seemed straight out of a can, the butternut squash were pea-sized, and the spicy honey dressing, served in a thimble, tasted more like sour cranberry. Too bad, because it’s a beautiful place. For the prices they charge, they should do better.

Dear Manor Tavern Management,

I wanted to take a moment to share my recent experience during Thanksgiving dinner. I made a reservation two months in advance for our party of nine, hoping to enjoy a delightful meal at a place I’ve always loved.

Unfortunately, upon our arrival at 5:00 PM, we were informed that there was no turkey, mashed potatoes, or stuffing left. It was disheartening to have to piece together a meal of ham, cold rice, and cold beans for my 88-year-old mother while my friends rushed to grab dessert before it was all gone. We ended up with brownies and Rice Krispies, which was not what we expected for a holiday dinner.

We paid $140 for drinks , rice crisbies, brownies, and what amounted to very little food, which left me feeling embarrassed for inviting my friends to such a disappointing experience. I’ve always held Manor Tavern in high regard, so it was disheartening to see how things have changed. We were all hungry and had to stop at Royal Farms to get some food!

I truly hope this feedback helps improve future experiences for other customers. I appreciate the hard work of your staff, who seemed to be embarssed and doing their best despite the circumstances.
We all loved the Manor Tavern! It has gone down hill with the management of today! I want to thank them for ruining my 2025 Thanksgiving Day!!

We came in for dinner for our 20th Anniversary and we were very happy with the experience. The drinks and food were excellent and the best part of all was our servers, Daria and Sydney. They were great from start to finish and did not rush us at all and that we really appreciated. Thanks Daria and Sydney for a great experience!!

$50+ for a crab cake that was mostly filler! It may have been the first time i didn’t finish a meal that included a crab cake. My wife had the filet and mashed potatoes which were good. We each had one beer and soups as appetizers and bill was over $200. We will probably return but wont be getting the crab cakes. I don’t mind paying good money for food but you absolutely need to deliver.

This is a restaurant we have been to before. I forgot how quiet it was. We were a group of six and we could actually talk and hear each other. The food is excellent. I had the crab soup and it only had back fin crab meat in it, excellent. The waitress also made this experience wonderful. What a nice experience.

You need a reservation, even for a table at the bar on a weekday, a testament to the lack of local watering holes in our area these days. Fortunately a table at the bar opened up, because all the bar stools were occupied and we were told that only one dining room was open due to a staffing issue. This during Restaurant Week?

I ordered the Buffalo Wings which were meaty, with the right amount of heat, and the accompanying blue cheese was satisfyingly chunky. My husband had the Fried Pork Chop, and it’s not inexpensive food. It seems outrageous that a simple Tavern Hamburger now costs $21.

In past visits I have sat at the bar and enjoyed the Brussel Sprouts and the Mushroom Toasty but found the Chicken Pot Pie to be gummy. The Fried Green Tomatoes have always been a good choice, as are the French Onion Soup and the Short Rib, all hearty winter food. Many of those appear as the $49 Prix Fixe offerings for Restaurant Week.

Our server was attentive, and the staff really hustles.
