This is traditional dinner/greasy spoon spot. It was absolutely amazing. One of the best bacon cheeseburgers I have ever had. The server breakfast and lunch all day. The service was outstanding and I will be returning!

Overall a really good place to get a quick breakfast. They do have large tables to accommodate a group if you needed. They only accept cash and local checks so be sure to have that handy for quick service. They do have an ATM on location if you need to withdraw cash but don’t be unprepared like we were. The food was really good and came out quickly. Everything we got was cooked to perfection and the coffee was also great! I will certainly be returning to this place for breakfast again soon!

This looked like it was a local favorite. A lot of people knew each other and there was a lot of carry out. The food was good and came out quickly but the waitress was not the friendliest and we didn’t get water or coffee refills.

This is a cafe with great food you should check out. Fills up fast for breakfast and lunch. Tried the chicken fried steak casserole last week and it was delicious. Also really good coffee! The waitress was great kept my coffee cup full. Will return!

Food is good. Staff was polite and friendly. But rather than sitting me at an open table they waited on a customer to finish at the counter. 3 groups were sat before me. Food came out quick, really felt like they were trying to get me out.

We just found a new favorite breakfast place! Staff is friendly and fast on their feet. Personal attention. We had the menu in moments, one also posted next to our table and the specials explained without asking. Comfy and clean. Bonus for my crunchy friends: they clean tables with Thieves so no wafting of Clorox. Amazing smells and the food was plentiful! The prices were great-comparable to other cafes and more reasonable than the chain breakfast places in town.

I must say I am very disappointed, I ordered a Husker Casserole and they gave me a box full of un melted cheese (WTH) . I ordered a scramble and was given an omelette and they tried to convince me it was a scramble! lol Clearly we need Lisa back this place has changed this is the second time they messed my order up and took my hard earned money! SMH its simple breakfast I am just too lazy to cook that’s all but I will not do this again already been fooled

AJ’s Cafe is the epitome of a classic American breakfast. We ordered a “AJ’s cafe classic with chicken fried steak” and a “build your own combo with one biscuit and gravy with hashbrowns”.
The service was great, food came out quick, and the food itself was well seasoned and delicious. Even the steak in the chicken fried steak was seasoned nicely. The biscuit seemed like it had been “seared” while it was baked and had a nice crisp to it like I’ve never had before.
The atmosphere at the restaurant is also a highlight. Though it was bit small, it felt very homey and cozy. The prices were amazing considering the amount and quality of food.
I will 100% be returning here for my breakfast fix.

So I usually come early morning because I’m a night shift worker so I never had to deal with this waitress before she was younger but the way she phrased do you need change or something or the other was weird and I also had food in my mouth at the same time so I shook my head yes and then I kind of just sat around and when she came up to check on me, I asked, am I gonna get my change and she’s like oh I thought you didn’t want it I probably wouldn’t phrase that question. Do you want your change in? I understand she’s making only a certain amount and waitresses survive off of tips but I still tip 20% on my meal as long as the service is good.
