We had such a great experience at Toutant. The service was impeccable! I loved that the place appeared small, but has lots of space with different floors. We ordered biscuits and jam, the fried chicken with mash potatoes, sausage gravy, and candied yams and marshmallow meringue. We also ordered a baloney sandwich from their 9 year anniversary menu. The baloney sandwich has two big pieces of baloney, cheese, onions, mustard, a fried egg, and freshly baked bread. It’s only there for a limited time. Get it while you can!! The biscuits and jam were also freshly made and delicious! I highly recommend the candied yams with marshmallow meringue! The sweet potatoes were more like a dessert than a side dish! I had one concern. I expected more from the fried chicken. Although it had a great crunch, it was missing the cayenne salt flavour. It was the same for the mash potatoes. It definitely needed some salt despite having the sausage gravy. I did not complain or tell the server even though I probably should’ve. The server was so friendly and attentive, but not overbearing. She gave us the bread pudding for my husband’s birthday. We were so full, but she packed it up. It was so nice of them! I would definitely come back and try the rest of the menu!

We celebrated my nephews high school graduation here. I’m big on customer service so I’ll start there and say they supersceded those expectations. They took reservation for a large party with little notice and assisted with bringing up decorations and cutting the cake.
Everyone enjoyed their food and we a wide range from family style meal, steak and shrimp, barbecue ribs, shrimp po boy, Nashville chicken, vegan jambalaya, and regular jambalaya. There were no complaints except the greens tasted like pure vinegar was added, and my mom said the Nashville chicken was overcooked. Other than that, it was a good experience and happy faces.

I can believe it has taken me this long to try Toutant. First off, the ambiance is very rustic with the exposed brick throughout the restaurant. You are greeted by a bar as you walk in with a decent amount of whiskeys and spirits. All the table seating is on the second and third floor of the restaurant. They care very much about dietary restrictions and allergies, and it’s very much appreciated. In this outing my friends and I ordered the Burnt Ends Appetizer ($15), Piccadilly Special ($98) Fried Chicken Bucket, Pimento Cheese ($8) and Traditional Creole Jambalaya with Sausage ($25). The Fried Chicken was by far some of the best I have ever had. The bucket can easily feed more than 4 diners and it came with Collard Greens, Smashed Potatoes and 6 Biscuits with Apple Butter. The Burnt Ends were very soft and tender and Pimento Cheese paired well with the biscuits. The only menu item I would not recommend was the Jambalaya. It was quite bland and did not have any spiciness to it. Otherwise, I would highly recommend coming to give Toutant a try. Please make a reservation as they can get quite busy.

Toutant is one of the best brunch spots I have ever been to. The coffee is from a local roaster, Tipico, it had a salty quality to it but it was delicious. We started with their biscuits which came wish a grape jam. They were the best biscuits I have ever had… extremely buttery and sweet, no need for the jam! For our entrees, we had the buttermilk fried chicken and chicken fried steak. The fried chicken was crispy and flavorful. They brought out some of the homemade hot sauce that complimented the chicken very well. I subbed the collards for the breakfast potatoes which were a mix of sweet and regular potatoes. They could have been a bit crispier, but the flavor was nice. The chicken fried steak was thin and had a great crunch to it. The gravy was savory and a perfect texture. The fried eggs were seasoned well and it came with the same potatoes as the other dish. The service was excellent, very attentive and kind. They ask about allergies before you order which I thought was an excellent touch. The food was expensive but worth it for the excellent flavors!

If you want to be wowed by Food , A visit to here should be at the top of your priority list.
Has to be the best meal I’ve had yet in Buffalo yet !
Fried Chicken has a new definition in my book now, The Nashville Chicken here and the sauce is something which takes gourmet to another level. The slightly tangy , slightly sweet , umami flavor of the sauce was by far the best rendition of a hot sauce I’ve tasted !
The Fresh Buttermilk biscuits are heavenly and served with a delectable strawberry compote , BUT, don’t forget to order a side of the fresh Pimento Cheese and thank me later , they elevate the biscuits further !
In the drinks The Sazerac Old Fashioned was done really well and the Daiquiri was very good too.
The service by Amanda was excellent.
It’s a 10/10 in my book ! Can’t recommend this enough .

Amazing!!! They fit us in for a last minute reservation. What an amazing atmosphere! Service was good, but not fantastic. Gentleman up front was amazing!! Food was very, very good! Highly recommend the fried chicken or the ribs if they have them. The biscuits were to die for, but a little spendy for just bread. There were 5 of us, we all got different things and everyone was happy! Great portion sizes. As for dessert, if you get the brown butter ice cream, get it with the coffee & whiskey. It needs it, and it’s is absolutely incredible…but alone it’s just meh. We will definitely be back and looking forward to trying brunch.

We stopped by for drinks and food on a Friday night. Unfortunately, the jambalaya was just okay, because the rice lacked flavor. The shrimp was delicious thiugh. The cornbread was overcooked and it had a slightly burned flavor.
The yams with marshmallows were delicious and the cocktails were excellent and the shrimp po boy was good too! I’d like to stop by again and try some other menu items. I should notes NOLA is my favorite place to visit and we’ve been many times for the authentic food, so my expectations were pretty high! ⚜️

Went for an anniversary dinner. We absolutely loved the overall experience of it. Everyone involved from the woman who took our initial reservation, to the hostess, to the bar tender, to the waitress was extremely accommodating friendly and thorough. The vibe was cool and the decor was warm. The food didn’t blow us away though. The biscuits and jam were the highlight. The “burn ends” weren’t true ends, but we’re saved by a great sauce and Texas toast. The jambalaya was fine, but nothing special. The gumbo was solid. Might’ve just been an off night food wise, but overall the experience almost makes it worth it in itself. 4.1/5-BJ

Spectacular! Everything about it. The food was exceptional. The burnt ends, Nashville hot chicken, hush puppies all completely delish. But the sweet potatoes I may dream about for years. The staff was awesomely friendly and engaging too! A winner all around! ❤️

The food was outstanding! My husband and I said this was the best buttermilk fried chicken we’ve ever had. We also ordered the home made biscuits with fruit preserves. They were so delicious. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the vibe too. It’s a great place for date night as well as dining with friends. Our server was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Also check out their drinks menu. I had a few tasty cocktails. This restaurant is a must try. We will be returning again soon!
