I don’t even know where to begin this review. This is by far the worst bar I’ve ever been to in Louisville. First of all, the entire back part of the bar smells like vomit 99.9% of the time. The demographic of this bar is 8th year basement dwelling frat guys or 60+ year olds, no in between. Due to the state of the bar and its filth, I was hesitant in ordering their food, however I decided to give it a try. Take a look at the picture attached to the review, it explains itself. It looks like my cousins 5th grade cafeterias food. Tastes exactly how it looks. Lastly, I can’t tell if this place ever gets cleaned or not. Every bathroom has vomit in it. Bathrooms smell like a retired porta potty and there is always vomit in either the sink, stall, or urinal. The only thing this place is okay in, is the bands that come and the TVs on the wall.

Joe’s Old as Dirt is a quirky, well-known local restaurant and bar. Definitely worth checking out if you haven’t been yet. It’s a fun place for people-watching, offers classic pub-style food, extensive beer selection, and the waitress was very friendly and welcoming.

We went there for a presentation from 15 Stars Distillery. Before it started we went to the bar to get a few drinks. We are very happy at the selection and especially the pricing for some very good whiskey and bourbon

The food was awesome and so was the service. We got the Kitchen Sink Nacho’s, brisket platter and the BBQ burger. First time ever eating street corn, loved it! We also got loaded tots (not pictured) because I devoured those bad boys. SOOO good!❤️

I came to Joe’s today bc google maps suggested it after going to another terrible place first (thank God for that) looking for some lunch. I had never been to this part of the city. This place is amazing and the food spectacular. The vibe and decoration is a 10/10. Lindsey is absolutely the best. Thank you for your suggestions and thanks to those in the kitchen that prepared the food so well, it was delicious. I had the fried fish with potatoes chips. Food was in the right temperature and texture. I loved it. I’m definitely coming back to Joe’s older than Dirt along with mi family and friends. If it was this nice on a Wednesday afternoon I imagine weekends must be spectacular.

Plenty of space to sit indoors and out. Friendly staff and owner.
Trivia night is especially fun.
Tried pretty much all of the appetizers and all of them were good. I was not optimistic about the corn cobs, but with the parmesan and mayo they were my favorite. The medium buffalo sauce was delicious on the wings. If you like spicy I recommend going hotter, but for our group the medium wings were perfect.

It was too loud and cold. They didn’t turn the heaters on in the main room where the band was. Band was turned up way too loud for the size of the venue/number of people. I had to text the person sitting next to me to communicate, couldn’t hear him shouting in my ear! Had one drink and called it a night. Not the best NYE but could have been worse.

I have no idea how this place is getting 4-5 stars. It’s mostly for male bougie gringos who have more beard than hair, more belly than brains, more truck than personality, to watch football while drinking on a somewhat ok covered patio. In Texas and LA, we know covered patios….this is ok for a converted home on a main street but just isn’t comfortable with plastic chairs, half of its in the open sun, and 20 TVs all on the same one or two games. I tried patiently waiting for my to-go order but got hit on twice in 15 mins by lonely dudes drinking at the bar alone who saw me sitting alone, thinking I’m here to pick up some d and not food. I’m not sure I’ll be back. The loaded fries congealed into a hard mass at the bottom of the container before I even got home, due to whatever they call “cheese” they put on it. I tried warming it up but it’s like the fries are glued down with caulk, very little flavor and toppings. The fried pickles were good. Last but not least DONT PUT RANCH AND SAUCE CUPS IN PLASTIC CONDIMENT CUPS AND THEN STICK WITH STEAMING HOT FRIED PICKLES AND FRIES. The plastic cups melted and oozed sauce everywhere from touching the hot fried pickles. And…..the sauces were scorching hot …not the best temperature to prevent food borne illnesses. Meh….I’m not sure I’ll be back.

The waitress Kat was phenomenal as were the Managers , Our experience didn’t start out the best but ended on a high note. We will definitely be coming back to give them another try.

We were there for a reunion and had a good time. Parking was at a premium but once inside the atmosphere was great. The band was good and the bar service was quick. Even though we did not order any food, from what I saw it looked good. The wait staff working the floor was impressive the way they navigated all the people to take care of the customers.
