This bakery and deli is located right beside Kentucky Down Under. It’s very quaint and beautiful when you walk in. Assorted Amish homemade goods, candies, soaps, salves and tons of fresh sweets like donuts, pies, cookies and cheesecakes. They have cooked to order food on the menu as well. They tried to keep up, but the only downside is the customers left the dining room area disgusting, trash and trays laying around, women’s restroom had toilet paper all over the floor. The workers were trying their best and it was hard to keep up because of the volume of people coming and going. Please be considerate that leaving messes for someone else to clean up, affects their business in a negative way due to customer perception. They only had a handful of employees and they were trying to work the counter serve food and clean all at the same time. The service was great. The food was delicious. I would go back there next time I am in the area.

We decided to stop and try Farmwald’s food and it was no disappointment. I got the Farmwald sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. My wife got the The ribeye steak sandwich and it was very good also. The servers were very nice when taking our order and the room setting was very cozy and laid back. There’s also picnic tables outside along with gliders you can set in and enjoy the shade while looking at the exotic animals across the parking lot at Kentucky Down Under. I highly recommend everyone to try the Farmwald sandwich. The only thing I regret is not getting one for the road

Saw a billboard and had to stop and see what they had to offer. Couldn’t resist trying that big Carmel iced donut and oh my! So delicious! Bought a couple new jams to have for the holidays! Outdoor furniture looks appealing!

We visited Farmwald’s once every day we were in town. Everything was delicious and fresh. The staff felt a little reserved but were efficient and courteous. We decided to purchase jams and desserts as souvenirs for our families back home. We will definitely stop by next time we are in the area.

This shop is a must see if you are passing thru the area. Can’t believe anyone would give this place anything other than 5 stars. The staff is very friendly, the food came out fast and was delicious! Plus there is plenty of seating. Aside from the food to order, there is a massive store area of baked goods, candy, and all sorts of other delicious items.

This is a case of expectations make disappointment. I saw this place in a brochure in a rest stop. I wanted to come here for three things: Ribeye sandwich, brisket sandwich and pecan pie. The place is a quaint establishment similar to a country store, with their own touch. The ribeye sandwich was very delicious and tender, and made.the way I like it, with the fat not trimmed. The brisket sandwich was meaty and came with barbecue sauce. Both sandwiches had a delicious buttery bread which added to the flavor of the sandwiches. The problem I had with the brisket sandwich is my expectations. I was thinking tender juicy slices of brisket. What I got was (I think), thinner double cooked slices, which added to the flavor, but sacrificed in tenderness and moisture. The other disappointment was the fact that they did not have pecan pie which was in the flyer. I was told the baker switches out the pastries that are made. I settled for an apple bar. I am not big on apples so I won’t comment on it other than to say it is a hefty piece.. Overall, I would say that the sandwiches were very good. Would I come back and buy them again? You can bet I would. I would skip the dessert (unless they have my pie. I don’t think you should advertise a staple and not stock it).

Such a charming and cozy place! You instantly feel like you’re stepping into a warm country cabin with homemade food and friendly faces. The sandwich I ordered was super juicy and flavorful, and the bread was fresh and perfectly toasted. The staff were kind and helpful, and everything was spotless inside. Loved the little decorative touches like the wood crafts and wagon displays outside – they make the place feel extra special. Plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors if you want to enjoy the fresh air. A great stop if you’re in the area – definitely worth a visit!

Great breakfast, better coffee and excellent cheese cake. We stopped in on the way to Georgia and had to return for coffee and cake. Breakfast was home made and inexpensive, worth it. This place is Amish and has tons of fresh and healthier products.
