We recently visited Jewels Cafe from Canada and wow — it’s truly a must-see if you have a gluten intolerance or are celiac.
It was such a wonderful experience for our son to go to a restaurant and not have to ask a single question about what he could eat. For the first time in a long while, he was able to order anything on the menu without worry. Being able to enjoy chicken and waffles was a huge win and something he hasn’t been able to experience in years.
Yes, it’s a little more on the pricey side, but we completely understand that high-quality gluten-free ingredients cost more. The peace of mind alone is worth it.
We highly, highly recommend checking this place out — especially for anyone looking for a safe and delicious gluten-free dining experience!

I’m so glad I b came across this place. Everything is gluten free and delicious! I haven’t had Country fried chicken in decades and I was finally able to have it again and it was so good! It’s a little pricey but well worth it! It has a diner ambiance and the service was great

Great gluten free food. As a a celiac, didnt have any reaction. Staff was helpful and nice. Can be crowded at noon so there can be some waiting involved until a table is available. Definitely recommend as a gluten free restaurant in Pheonix and near the airport area.

Visited from out of town, this place was a TREAT! Entire menu is gluten free. The onion rings were delicious and crispy flaky without being too battered. I ordered the fried fish sandwich and added bacon, and wow it was just amazing. If I’m back in the area, I will definitely stop at Jewel’s.

Very popular spot, so be prepared to wait 15-30 minutes on the weekends for a table, but don’t let that stop you from going here. There is a reason this is a go-to place for food. It’s hands down my favorite place to eat for breakfast/lunch. Completely celiac friendly restaurant, no gluten, and accommodates other allergies. Tastes better than gluten food too. Try it!

I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS PLACE!! I was literally dancing while eating my Fried fish sandwich and fries. I ordered an extra truffle fry! Im gluten free but my hubby & my friends aren’t. But I assured them that it was going to be OK and they were so happy with their food!!! From chicken & waffles to burgers to Korean bowls.

I can’t eat fried foods in general and definitely can’t at regular restaurants but I had to have this sandwich!! And it did NOT disappoint!!! The staff were bubbly and upbeat. I will visit Jewels EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I come up AZ. I absolutely love this spot!

A friend told us about this place so we decided to try it with a friend visiting from New York. The waitress was excellent. The food was good. It’s wheelchair friendly only in the front entrance area.

This place is small so if you can snag a reservation I recommend it. I am not gluten free, but have a friend who is. The churro chicken and waffle was soooo good!! I would not have know it was gluten free. That was some of the best chicken I have had at a breakfast cafe in a while. Highly recommend even if you aren’t gluten free!

I’ll go back. The food was good, but slightly under seasoned. Still, it was still tasty. The service was good, but it took awhile for the food. Still, the staff were friendly and attentive. I really liked the atmosphere. Coffee was ok…I need to try it black next time and re-evaluate.

My single real issue is the hours of operation. 9a to 3p. Those hours, for me, mean I can’t solicit their business during the week–I’m already working by the time they open and I’m still working when they close. I suppose they’re good as a lunch only place and a late brunch place on the weekend. Still, a place for breakfast and coffee in the morning would be nice.

Bottom line, I am going back, which is really the only important thing. They’re worth an occasional visit even if they won’t work as my *regular place*.
