Since then we’ve tried several things. Their salads are generous and fresh. They have a great price on their personal sized pizzas with each topping only costing .99 cents. And we love their breadsticks, Adding a little salt on top is necessary though. No problem!
The only issue is with asking for certain modifications like “well done” or “light sauce”. I know they’re always busy…so the results are inconsistent. That being said, it’s easy to still love their food and service.
They are our go-to for pizzas and subs…and definitely those breadsticks!
Thank you Carbone’s!
They don’t have any real standards when it comes to their pies or cleanliness of the establishment; I’d hate to see what the walk-in looks like.
Their wings. The wings are terrible and no matter how much you ask, or what instructions you give, they cook them to their standard. Funny that they have standards for making bad wings but nothing else. They are not crispy at all! The flavors are good, very good but that skin?….. I’ve asked for crispy. I’ve asked for extra crispy. Today I specifically asked for them to be cooked for 2 min longer, but every time, they’ve given me rubbery vomit inducing chicken skin. FYI: I actually open my box until I get home, to let steam out.
People love them, and they’ve been around for decades. Admittedly, they were ALOT better in the 90’s. However, for me, If you need CRISP wings, this is not the place to come.
The pizza….Every time I’ve eaten it, it was made different from the previous time. (An inconsistent way of cooking a dish will produce a different outcome every time and that will show in taste, guaranteed.) I remember one being over run with sauce, one with barely any, and the last one, was decent. The last pie before today, the decent one, is the reason I decided to give ’em one last shot in my time crunch. This pie was damn near NY Style thin, that was left in a bit too long.
I’ve never, been served a thin slice from them. Do they even sell NY Style? I don’t know.
I have no idea what the other menu items taste like but, the lack of standards (sanitation and food preparation), makes me never wanna try. I will say that the women who work the registers are nice people. Shout out to them!
That’s a pic of the cheese pie I ordered next to the 2 extra pepperoni slices they took out of the warmer…look at the difference in the rise on the crusts. Inconsistent.
food is good. We want to keep coming back but every time we stop in for pick-up it’s a DISASTER. The takeout is always late. We kinda hit the last straw this time when we specifically ordered ahead for 830. When we arrived our sub was ready but it took until 9pm for the pizza to be ready. When the pizza was done they put it on the counter and didn’t even call us up to let us know. They didn’t even apologize for the wait or acknowledge the mistake. I don’t mind waiting longer for the food but I hate that it’s always marked ready WAY before the food comes out. And the workers are not helpful with managing the line.
Editing my review to add that I contacted the Slice App’s customer service about this. It took 5 days for them to reply. All they offered, after failing to provide items and add ons I paid for, was a $5 discount off my next order. Unfortunately I can’t say I’ll be ordering again to use that. Unbelievable that they won’t even refund the extras I did not receive.
