Reviews
We were seated immediately, and the relaxed atmosphere set the tone for vacation mode. If you’re looking for waterfront dining in Hilton Head with marina views, this location delivers.
The happy hour menu at the bar was impressive — not just a couple basic options, but a wide selection (easily 15–20 drink specials). It felt like a true coastal bar experience.
I ordered the baked scallops with chef vegetables and rice, and they were cooked perfectly. Scallops can easily turn rubbery, but these were tender, buttery, and some of the best I’ve had. The menu overall reflects mid-range seafood pricing, which felt fair for the quality and the marina setting.
We brought our three-year-old daughter, and this place is surprisingly family-friendly. She ordered fish and chips from the kids menu and ate most of it. The kids menu doubles as an activity sheet with crayons and multiple games — not just a basic coloring page — which kept her happy and engaged. We never felt rushed, which I really appreciated.
A local tip we learned: apparently in the summer, especially on Thursdays, they have live music and it becomes one of the best spots in Shelter Cove to hang out. After our experience, I can see why.

While you can definable dump a ton more somewhere else in Hilton Head…this place is a gem. Its got a great patio and perfect noise/size ratio to where I never had to shout to talk but still could hear and enjoy the live music from the one man band.
My wife got the fish and chips, which is normally my go to, and it was such a great change of pace. From the batter to the seasoning on the fish…it blew us both away. Makes me forget what real southern style fish is supposed to be like!
Lately, I have been on this weird scallop kick. I am in sales and part of my job is entertaining and having way too much steak and way to nice of places. So after I just burned out on steaks…scallops are rich but not too heavy…especially when you do it a lot. Honestly, my expectations were in the dirt as they weren’t pan seared but baked scallops which can for sure be hit and miss IMO.
Turns out, they might be the best I have ever had outside two nights before when I had them the first time. Absolutely incredible. I would come back to HH…just to eat them again. In all honesty, we came back to put the place…in its place as we were sure it was a fluke. NOPE. That good.
So if your ever out in Hilton Head and your looking for a fair price with INCREDIBLE food. Look no further than Scott’s.
We went there cause its funny(obviously the name) but we left super fans. Can’t wait for another shot at those baked beauties!
And last…service rocked! We appreciate you!
Salmon salad – reeked of fish, not well loaded. Salmon was cooked medium rare.
Chicken casadilla – after thought, lacking cheese, chicken and had no seasoning.
Pulled pork bbq – not bbq, let me repeat, not bbq. This is a pork shoulder done in their oven, chopped to 1/4” pieces and paired with open pit bbq sauce. Sad.
Chicken Caesar salad- missing most of the chicken…. Does 3 slices of chicken count?
We won’t be back.
