An unexpected surprise in the High Country. Think you’re just stopping to fill your gas tank, think again…You will be pleasantly surprised by what they have to offer. Their breakfast biscuits are made the old-fashioned way, with love. June, India, and the members of staff, work extremely hard to give quick and friendly service to all. Complimented with a friendly, unpretentious vibe, and genuine smiles. Comfortable and relaxed vibe, with many unexpected items of merchandise as well. One of the best bacon, egg and cheese biscuits in the NC mountains! Be sure to drop by, and tell em Betty sent you, the original, and one and only Betty! Remember to be patient, and kind, after all, that is the Mountain way;)

It’s what it is….and what it is, is mountain magic on a plate. You’re either into it or not. Love the lady behind counter have no idea what dude below talking about. She like 65 and sweet as can be, working may I add at her age. Anyhow absolute experience gotta try it!

Usually pretty decent food, I avoid the eggs but everything else I’ve had was okay. They gotta get rid of the rude old lady at the grill. It’s literally 5 til noon, and she just ignored me at the window for 5 minutes and then rolled her eyes, looked up at me and said “it’s gonna be a WHILEEEEE” before rolling her eyes again and just turning around to continue ignoring customers. All this, and I was the only one in the store at first. This wasn’t anything like a lunch rush yet and she was falling apart already. Needless to say, I’m gonna go get lunch elsewhere and they should really consider keeping her away from the public.

Delicious biscuits!! The classic bacon/egg/cheese on a biscuit beats B’s in my opinion. It’s a little gem of a general store complete with petrol and friendly staff.
