It was our 3rd visit here. We decided on brunch last minute and called ahead for our party of 6. The timing of our arrival worked out perfectly & we were seated comfortably. We took several of our server’s recommendations & had zero regrets. While we drooled over the dessert options (a chocolate ganache pie, key lime pie or tres leches), we were too full.

The Toasted Coconut has a nice ambience. Parking is not the best (small lot and most likely need to street park). Food was not worth a long wait, so definitely recommend making reservations.

Was seated at an outdoor patio. Waitress was friendly!

For the price, the crispy chicken sandwich was disappointing. Tasted good but the chicken was so small for $14. Honestly, you’re better off ordering a spicy chicken sandwich at a fast food chain.

The spiced fries were average; nothing special.

Pork dumplings (5pc?) were ok, 3.5/5 stars taste-wise.

I don’t see myself dining here again.

Love the tiki vibe of this place. And everything was so colorful and festive, includingthe food and drinks. I visited when it was warm and the patio was really nice! Lots of both food and alcohol options. The fusion food menu is really interesting. There were several things on the menu that I wouldn’t mind coming back to try, next time I’m in Houston.

We chose to eat outside because the weather was nice. I ended with a very rich and slightly salty. I took it to go because I was so full. And my mouth was on fire from the fries.

We started with drinks and an appetizer. I didn’t taste the Rings of Saturn. But my daughter liked it. She didn’t finish it, however. I had Vamos a la Playa and it was really good. It was a little strong, but it was perfect.

For lunch I had The Cuban and my daughter had a chicken sandwich. My daughter enjoyed the Crispy Chicken Sandwich. I had The Cubano and it was very good. The bread was crispy. The inside was very good. I would definitely order that again. The Toco Fried Rice with kimchi was absolutely delicious. If you like kimchi rice, you will love this. I could go there and only order this and be happy as a clam.

Downside… we had these very spicy, but delicious fries. But there was a hair in the sauce. But I must say, it was delicious. Super spicy and if you love, love, love spice, I suggest you get this. Your mouth will tingle and burn. However, it’s the most delicious type of burn. Side note: we did tell our server and he got us another order and didn’t charge us for the fries.

The service was good. It was strange that the server left during lunch. He was nice, a little timid, maybe. But the server who took his place was very, very nice. More outgoing and fun.

his place has such a vibrant and eye-catching atmosphere. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. I only tried the tres leches cake, which was absolutely delicious, but my friends ordered several drinks and dishes that were just as impressive. We truly enjoyed our time here, and I highly recommend this spot

Both the sandwich and the cocktail were awesome! In addition, the staff was very kind and the background music was excellent and well-chosen — The chocolate cake was also delicious and the perfect way to finish the meal

We love this place. The 3rd time was a charm. Food is delicious and the best drinks in Houston for sure. Our server was pleasant, down to earth, yet professional. The music is great but loud and the atmosphere is cozy yet tropical. Nice place for lunch or din-din! After eating we were escorted to a hidden speakeasy for additional drinks and a different atmosphere. Most enjoyable.

This is one of my favorite themed watering holes, and I had never come during December before! The tiki drinks are always amazing, the food delicious, and now, their special holiday cocktails just made the season even better!

We sat on the patio. Looks like its pet friendly out there. I had a pear salad, popcorn chicken and dumplings. The dumplings were gummy and not that great. Popcorn chicken was good and so was the salad. The key lime pie was the best thing I ate.

We’d been wanting to check out The Toasted Coconut for a while since we heard they have great food and cocktails. Finally made it, and it was totally worth it.

For cocktails, we tried their Vamos a la Playa, which is a smoky mezcal drink, and Tropic Like It’s Hot, a spicy tequila one. Both were super refreshing and really well made.

For food, we went with small plates. The dumplings were the highlight full of flavor and just really good. The crispy eggplants were great too, crunchy and tasty. The lamb flatbread didn’t really work for us. It was too crispy and oily, and I couldn’t taste much of the lamb.

The place has a really nice vibe, very relaxed and fun. Our server was super friendly and gave great recommendations. They told us to come back for the burgers, so we’ll definitely be back to try those.
