Was seated at an outdoor patio. Waitress was friendly!
For the price, the crispy chicken sandwich was disappointing. Tasted good but the chicken was so small for $14. Honestly, you’re better off ordering a spicy chicken sandwich at a fast food chain.
The spiced fries were average; nothing special.
Pork dumplings (5pc?) were ok, 3.5/5 stars taste-wise.
I don’t see myself dining here again.
We started with drinks and an appetizer. I didn’t taste the Rings of Saturn. But my daughter liked it. She didn’t finish it, however. I had Vamos a la Playa and it was really good. It was a little strong, but it was perfect.
For lunch I had The Cuban and my daughter had a chicken sandwich. My daughter enjoyed the Crispy Chicken Sandwich. I had The Cubano and it was very good. The bread was crispy. The inside was very good. I would definitely order that again. The Toco Fried Rice with kimchi was absolutely delicious. If you like kimchi rice, you will love this. I could go there and only order this and be happy as a clam.
Downside… we had these very spicy, but delicious fries. But there was a hair in the sauce. But I must say, it was delicious. Super spicy and if you love, love, love spice, I suggest you get this. Your mouth will tingle and burn. However, it’s the most delicious type of burn. Side note: we did tell our server and he got us another order and didn’t charge us for the fries.
The service was good. It was strange that the server left during lunch. He was nice, a little timid, maybe. But the server who took his place was very, very nice. More outgoing and fun.
For cocktails, we tried their Vamos a la Playa, which is a smoky mezcal drink, and Tropic Like It’s Hot, a spicy tequila one. Both were super refreshing and really well made.
For food, we went with small plates. The dumplings were the highlight full of flavor and just really good. The crispy eggplants were great too, crunchy and tasty. The lamb flatbread didn’t really work for us. It was too crispy and oily, and I couldn’t taste much of the lamb.
The place has a really nice vibe, very relaxed and fun. Our server was super friendly and gave great recommendations. They told us to come back for the burgers, so we’ll definitely be back to try those.
