The best authentic Indian restaurant in New York City. We don’t use color in our food. All the food freshly prepared as per the order. No frozen food.

India at Times Square exceeded all our expectations! The food was absolutely delicious—full of authentic flavors and beautifully prepared. The staff was attentive, welcoming, and genuinely kind throughout our visit.
A special mention goes to Alisha, who made our experience truly outstanding. She was incredibly professional, warm, and attentive, and she went above and beyond to meet every one of our needs with a smile. Thanks to her kindness and care, we felt completely taken care of.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for amazing authentic Indian food and excellent service in the heart of Times Square!

We visited this restaurant around 10 PM, completely exhausted after a long day, and honestly, it turned out to be one of the most comforting food experiences we’ve had.

We ordered our must-have chai, and I can confidently say this was the best chai I’ve had outside my home. We’ve searched everywhere, Ottawa (Canada), Boston, and multiple places in New York – but nothing came close to this. We haven’t tried every restaurant in the city, but so far, this is the best chai till date. (5/5) ☕️✨

For food, we ordered:
• Kachumar Salad – fresh, light, and perfectly balanced (5/5)
• Kadhi Pakoda with Rice – incredibly authentic and full of homely flavors (5/5)

What truly touched us was their generosity – they provided extra rice at no additional cost, which was more than enough for both of us and made the meal even more satisfying.

The ambience was pleasant, and the staff was very active, we interacted with Dev, he was very nice and kind, attentive, and welcoming, even at such a late hour.

If you’re craving authentic Indian flavors, especially a soul-soothing chai in the heart of Times Square, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended! ❤️

It was a nice experience overall, the atmosphere was amazing, but the food was average. I expected much more… the server was very accommodating and helpful, however he lacked in knowledge of the food and wine… I don’t think I would come back here.

Great food! Great ambience! Great flavors! This is one of our favorites. I recommend trying their Veg Hakka noodles. It’s a bomb Susmitha’s service is a cherry on the cake 🙂

Ordered chai and ice cream to go. Bill was $17. Chai was a instant chai packet mixed with water (can assure that as I drink it very frequently at work) and 2 baby spoons of vadilal ice cream. Even Mariott Marquis on times square gives more ice cream than that in $9.
Total rip off.

I had a movie date with my friend & because I don’t eat meat if it’s not halal we had find something near by in Times square!

I googled it & called them also to make sure the food is halal. I have also asked if they need reservations, they didn’t . So we went there to have dinner. It was like 12 min walk from Times Square..

The place was cute, not too fancy ! Not too crowded, lots of empty seats . We both used the restroom & it was too smelly. And not much clean, I was kinda shocked! So I told a person who works there & she was just looking at me like what she is talking about. So I told her to go inside & have a look. I always say if a restaurant has bad smelly bathroom & kitchen is also not good then not a good idea to eat food there! We were already seated so I decided to stay.

We ordered Chicken Tikka Sizzler, Goat Biriani , Coke. I liked the chicken but the biryani was not so much. We both had hard time finishing the biryani, kinda disappointed! The price was high & I understand why ! But I did expected better food at this price.

Customer service was good.

“Stopped by India at Times Square today and tried their specials — Laal Maas and Bullet Naan. Honestly, both were incredible! The Laal Maas was rich, flavorful, and had just the right amount of heat, and the Bullet Naan had that perfect spicy kick. Totally hit the spot — definitely coming back for the Indian food !”

I had a fantastic dining experience at India in Times Square during my recent work trip to New York. As a vegetarian and Indian, I was thrilled to find a restaurant that truly felt like a taste of home. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was exceptional, thanks to the warm hospitality of Alisha, Sushmita, and Aliska. Their attentive and welcoming nature made me feel right at home. If you’re in New York, do not miss this gem – it’s a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Indian flavours!
