My husband hosted my 50th birthday party here and they were so wonderful to work with. We took up a side of the bar and had about 50 people come and go over the course of 3 hours.
The drinks were great, even had NA options. Big Bar, plenty of room for our party and for other patrons.
The food was amazing, many people ordered a variety of different apps and dinners and everyone talked about how great it was. Shrimp Tacos, Big Pretzel, Flatbread – all delicious!
Some people went to the other side and did the Duck Bowling and all really enjoyed that FUN!!
Highly Recommend.

I had my brother-in-law’s Celebration of Life party at the Thirsty Duck in Sussex for about 55 people. Jessica Neuhaus, the event sales manager, was great to work with and with her help we pulled off a great party. We were able to have a private part with plenty of room for everyone. Even the kids had a great time with the duck pin bowling and corn hole. We had the Southern Style BBQ dinner with pulled pork, smoked brisket and chicken. And, the food was Amazing! I had nothing but compliments from our guest and really it was all the Thirsty Duck. I highly recommend this venue for your next party. Lisa D.

Staff were polite but unfortunately it was terrible food and service. Soup was cold, chicken was burnt, coffee took a half hour once ordered, and after one hour of bowling and everyone else eating, our 12″ pizza we ordered at when we got there was finally “ready” but they charged us for a 16″ and offered a $2 discount to make up for it. Unfortunately the bowling was cool but if we ever went again we wouldn’t order any food nor drinks. No refills and no timely food. The staff unfortunately didn’t seem to worry about the food quality nor the service quality.
Note: we did ask to speak with a manager and we were told there was no manager available which is when they offered the $2 discount.
The bowling was fun and enjoyable! We just were disappointed by the food/service.

I hadn’t been to this place since it was The Boneyard but it was a place in the middle of a few friends so we met here for dinner. I had the Buffalo Chicken Rolls and a buddy had the Reuben Rolls. I thought both were good but gave the edge to the Buffalo Rolls, they just had more flavor. I had the Caesar salad with blackened chicken for my entrée. It was good but not sure why it’s called a Caesar salad when it had olives and tomatoes. I don’t remember Julius designing it that way but it was fresh and tasty. I had the Raspberry Lemon Drop Cake and that was really good. It was layered so I was afraid it would fall apart but it didn’t, not even on the last bite. I had two bourbons to drink, a double Buffalo trace on the rocks and a single Makers on the rocks. What surprised me and ate at me a little bit is that I got charged $2 per drink for ice. There is a separate line on the receipt where it says rocks. If they would have built that into the price of the drink I wouldn’t have noticed but seriously? Is that a thing? There is mini bowling here, which nobody was playing because trivia was going on. Overall, good food and worth a stop.

I recently hosted my 50th birthday party at The Thirsty Duck, and it was absolutely fabulous! We had to change venues at the very last minute due to flooding in the area. This was actually our third venue and all of it was happening while we were out of the country. What could have been a nightmare turned into a dream thanks to the amazing and professional team at The Thirsty Duck.
The private room was perfect for our group, and the food was incredible. The nacho bar was an absolute hit with our guests! The bartender and server who worked with us were outstanding, super attentive, kind, and kept everything running smoothly. I heard so many compliments from our guests throughout the night. We also loved having access to the outside patio, which was a perfect addition to the space.
I can’t say enough about how wonderful and professional the staff was to work with. They truly went above and beyond to make my milestone birthday celebration one to remember. Highly recommend The Thirsty Duck for any special event!

The cheese curds and fried pickles are amazing. The marinera sauce is too sweet. The Alfredo pesto is decent but it could use more Alfredo sauce, plus the chicken was dry. The fries are cooked to a perfect brown crisp outside and so fluffy on the inside. Overall, we will be back.
Edit: (march 17 2024) we ordered the cheese curds and fried pickles, still as perfect as I remember them. The chicken strips are very crispy outside and actually moist on the inside. The crispy chicken sandwich was really good, according to my sister whom I was there with. The fries were still the perfect amount of crispy and fluff. Sad to report to the tocho lovers, they no longer have them.

Very average bar food, very average service. I had a Buffalo Chicken wrap, we shared Totchos (nachos made with tots) and Reuben Rolls.
The wrap was tasty, good buffalo flavor, served with fries that were so-so. The Reuben Rolls were meh, were obviously frozen, could do better at home. I didn’t like the Totchos either, but to be fair I wouldn’t have ordered them.
I went for Yellowstone Trivia, and that was fun, they do a nice job of Trivia there.
