Sorry for the photos, we had already eaten half the plate before I remembered to take pictures. I ordered the fish and shrimp lunch special for $19.99, it was the best fried fish I have ever had. Very light and fresh, it was delicious. The fried shrimp were good as well. My husband ordered the crab cake Benedict and he enjoyed that. Service was great, and great price on bottomless mimosas.

I grew up at John G’s on the beach with John and Wendy. My Dad would take me on the weekend and we would get the chocolate covered fruit… just amazing. I even remember the Pennie’s by the register for candy.
I’ve been to this new location twice and I have to say… it’s not worth the hour drive for me anymore. The hash browns were my FAVORITE and I talk about them all the time. They taste frozen now… not like they use too. Sausage is different too… idk I guess my memories as a kid set the bar too high.
Waitress was very attentive and made great drinks.

Fantastic place to go for Breakfast, Brunch or Lunch.
The food is very tasty and portions are great.
The variety of traditional American dishes is amazing. I am sure you will find something to tempt your taste buds.
The staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
We had a thoroughly lovely brunch.

Went here on a recommendation by a work colleague, driving up from Boca. It wasn’t worth the drive…
When my wife and I arrived, we got seated promptly—off to a good start! But it took more than a couple of minutes to get menus. Then it took more than a few minutes to get started with coffee and have our breakfast order placed. The place wasn’t busy, so it just felt inattentive.
The coffee is watery at John G’s, among the weakest coffees I’ve ever had at a breakfast place. It was served in a carafe, that was nice for quick refills.
The wait staff misfired again by trying to deliver to us the meals that belonged to the booth next to us. We got that fixed, thankfully.
The (correctly delivered) food was good; I had Eggs Benedict, my wife a Greek Omelette. We split blueberry pancakes but the blueberries were tasteless (like frozen berries often are) and served with fake maple syrup (although I asked about getting pure maple syrup—the waitress said she’d check to see if pure was available but never came back to say, “No, we only serve fake syrup”).
Getting our bill took too long. When I surrendered my credit card, no settlement check came back after we waited about ten minutes—I had to request my credit card back and the waitress just gave me another copy of my bill! Not a big deal if this was the only service misfire but it was the last of many.
In short, I came because the place has a long history operating in South Florida. But, it was a one-and-done experience for my wife and me.

Been coming here for decades back when Wendy and John ran it over in Lake Worth Beach. Even with change of owners they maintained quality- until now. Literally 1/3 the amount of fish on this sandwich and quality was definitely not the same. Hope this legend has not died – but super bad sign. Will give it one more shot next time we’re in town ☹️

I’ve been a John G’s Breakfast and Lunch person. Well more Breakfast that lunch since 1980. Waiting in the line wrapping around the side of the building. Chocolate fruit for the people that waited but gone are the good Days of Wendy’s John G’s. I’ve started seeing many changes to the restaurant which the owner said they would not do they would keep it legacy. There’s been a change in waiters and waitresses cheerful customer service, the food amounts on the plate, and the prices which that last one the new owners said they were going to have to change, But I was floored when I took my wife and my son to lunch. Food was ok nothing to write home about. We got two of the lunch bacon Burger and the special fish and shrimp two sodas and an Arnold Palmer The bill came to $75.54 around $91 with tip. I’ve never paid that much at John G’s ever EVER. When I got the admirals platter that I split with me and my wife I spent at least $65 with another person there. Four of us when we went for breakfast we walked out of there at around 50 to $60. I looked at our bill and they charged us $3 each for bacon on our burgers A mushroom burger is $14.99 and their burger with an egg for $14.99 on there special so they charged me $19 for a bacon burger where I got two slices of bacon on each burger for $3 each burger. Then my wife asked for an extra half sliced pickle for my son they charged us $2 for the extra half pickle. Now I don’t want to sound cheap but this seems like I was over charged. I don’t mind paying $3 each for a soda well this time it was closer to $12 for three drinks. but I don’t like being pinched for extra things for a burger and her special fish and shrimp for $19.99 was three very very small pieces that you can eat with one bite And three shrimp. For that price or 4$ more I would have expected the 2 large filets and french fries it would have been more food for the price. The food was okay like I said nothing to right home about The burgers were prepared medium rare exactly the way we wanted them they were juicy and good I just wonder how much more it would have been if we asked for cheese. Probably another $2. I’m just very disappointed about the amount of food on the plate and the prices. I may not return to John G’s which is very sad because I love their breakfasts with the stuffed croissant and the boat of mushrooms. Hopefully they’re able to get control of the amount of food on the plate and the price per plate. It was not worth $100 for lunch for 3 people

We’ve been coming to place but I haven’t done a review. We had several dishes and every bite tasted great.
Eggs Casino – Their unique take on Eggs Benedict with poached eggs, ham, tomato, and a flavorful house sauce.
Morning Super Star – Crispy hash browns with melted cheese, basted eggs, and fresh tomato, served with toast. So satisfying.
Hawaiian Omelette – Filled with sautéed veggies, topped with creamy cheese sauce, and served with a grilled pineapple garnish.
Nova Bagel Platter – Classic and fresh with salmon, tomato, red onion, capers, and cream cheese.
Short Stack Pancakes – Light, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweet.
Each plates came with a slice of watermelon and cantaloupe which both are pretty refreshing. Everything came out hot, fresh, and beautifully presented. Service was friendly and fast, even during a busy morning. We’ll definitely be back.

I have been going to John G’s since high school. It’s a local favorite! Great setting & walking distance to the beach. Five stars!

Very inconsistent food. Depends on what day you come, it will be a different. Today is a hash brown patty, crumble in pieces.

I’d classify this as a local establishment. We love eating like a local. We started with a Poinsettia mimosa and a coffee. We actually were given our own pot on the table. That is so rare these days and was much appreciated. Their signature is a cheese sauce on their eggs or potatoes. If you like grits this is definitely the place to get them. They were the best part of my breakfast. The German omelette was just ok, I wished the potatoes were seasoned. My wife enjoyed her basted egg dish. For the 2 of us with tip we spent $50.
