If you’re looking for the best deli in Greensboro, Jam’s Deli is the place to be! For 36 years, this local favorite has been serving up fresh sandwiches, homemade sides, and friendly service that keeps customers coming back.

What makes Jam’s Deli stand out is the quality and consistency. Their sandwiches are always packed with flavor and made to order, from the classic turkey and Swiss to their signature subs. The bread is fresh, the ingredients are top-notch, and you can really taste the care that goes into every bite.

Jam’s Deli isn’t just about great food—it’s about community. For more than three decades, they’ve been a staple in Greensboro, bringing people together over lunch breaks, family meals, and quick stops for a bite on the go. The staff is warm and welcoming, and you can feel the pride they take in keeping this tradition alive for 36 years strong.

If you haven’t tried Jam’s Deli yet, now is the perfect time to stop by and celebrate their 36th anniversary. Whether you’re craving a hearty sandwich, a fresh salad, or just a quick and tasty lunch, Jam’s Deli is the spot. Here’s to many more years of serving the community!

The food was outstanding! I had the chicken portobello pita with the hot chips. My husband had the Ruben with curly fries. Homemade chips and fries were incredible! The place looks like an older diner with lots of seating for a small place. Will definitely be coming back!

Excellent egg salad sandwich and potato salad served on crisp bed of iceberg lettuce. Really good au jus. Onion rings are perfectly crispy. Iced tea is tasty. Fast service. Clean and ample seating area with plenty of space between tables. During cold weather can be slightly cooler inside but the food is so good it makes up for it.

My dad started taking me and my sisters to Jams when we were little. It was where we always came during the work day lunch break and now, 30 years later, I try to make a trip anytime I’m in town for a nostalgic comfort meal!

The food was delicious, super fresh, and hot! The fries that they carry here are super interesting, and I have never been seen before. They were super delicious, and seasoned well, the two Chili dogs were not skimpted on at all. They were completely loaded up, which is good compared to what other places give you for your money’s worth. I will say the Chili dogs were okay, though, not the best, just mid. I feel like the atmosphere needs some remodeling and improvement as the floors are old, the chairs are ripped or scrapped up, and the tables and booths are a bit too small only able to fit two people max, and the lights need new light bulbs. I also find it funny how a whole entire ketchup bottle is on all the tables and booths! Prices are in range, and they have workers who have been working here day one and remember the club next door. I remember as a kid going to this club and smelling the food at this diner, all the time, it smelt so good! Wish they gave slightly bigger cups though for a drink.

Jams is the definition of a deli. From the second you set foot on their black and white checkered floors and see the classic diner tables and chairs you know you’re in for some good food. Their sandwiches are absolutely amazing. My wife used to eat at Jams growing up and we visited when we returned to North Carolina. I think it goes without saying our visit did not disappoint. It was as my wife remembered and I loved it! I ordered the hot Italian sandwich and it was delicious. Loads of meat, cheese, and my favorite part as the addition of the banana peppers. The bread was fantastic as well. The Reuben is very good, but sloppy (which is the sign of a good Reuben). I normally don’t get excited about fries/chips but theirs were awesome. They’re thicker than a potato chip but not your typically french fry. They are fried perfectly. The outside is nice and crispy and the inside was soft and warm. I haven’t experienced this type of fry/chip anywhere. The service is great. The staff is friendly and welcoming when you enter. Prices are fair for the amount of food you get. I’ll definitely be back to Jams when we visit North Carolina again.

The best sandwich shop in Greensboro for variety, and it’s all good. Very good fries, very welcoming and friendly staff, a cool location- though the location might be for sale- there was a sign on the door last time we went.

You can go in there 10 different times, get 10 different things, and enjoy it each time.

Really hope they stay around!

There large sign caught my eye in my lunch break because it was high and weathered. I figured they had been here a while and that usually indicates they have good food. The gentleman at the register was very friendly and told me they have been here for 36 years. I can see why, the formula is easy good service, friendly staff, and good food. For some reason that’s tough to find! Would recommend and will be back again.
