Best barbecue around. The service is great and the selections can satisfy everyone. Veterans and First Responders are especially welcome and honored. 1 week ago.

I only gave Mission BBQ in Lady Lake five stars because Google doesn’t have six stars!

My lovely wife and I were heading to Millers Ale House for lunch. Mission BBQ was right next door. I was vaguely familiar with the brand, so we decided to try them instead. Pulling up to park I saw a row of empty reserved parking spaces with little white signs, which I figured were for take out, like so many other restaurants do. But NO! They were spaces reserved for veterans! I’m a vet, but I didn’t want to use one of those spots because there’s always someone more deserving than I.

After entering I went to the restroom to wash may hands. The restrooms are marked WOMEN for women, and LATRINE for non-women. That’s a nice touch to make an old vet feel at home.

Ordering is done at the counter, like our local 4 Rivers restaurants, except the sides at 4 Rivers are in a Bain Marie steam table on the front line, while Mission BBQ prepares the sides to order in the kitchen. A lovely young lady name Mayri took our order. She was super helpful, explaining the menu and offering suggestions. I chose the two-meat sampler, and my wife ordered the smoke chicken half.

We sat at a table and admired the thousands of military and first responder photos and memorabilia on the walls. My name was called to pick up our food from the front counter after about 10 minutes, which is fairly quick in my book.

My brisket and jalapeño sausage was good, and the fries are cut fresh a la Five Guys. My wife, likewise, really enjoyed her chicken.

Another lovely young lady named Hailey kept checking on us and all the other diners, and not in a cursory, semi-annoying way like they do at Olive Garden and Millers. Hailey’s helpfulness was 100% genuine. Near the end of our meal Hailey asked me if she could give us a complimentary cherry cheesecake to thank me for my service. Lucky I wore my “USAF We Own The Skies” ball cap. Who could turn down such an offer? Not fat boy here. With perfect timing Hailey arrived about 5 minutes later with a cute little cheesecake on a tray. She had written “Thank You For Your Service” on the tray liner. Awwww. She is soooo sweet!

While we nibbled on our cheesecake, which was yummy, I Googled the Mission BBQ back story. What a great story. 150 restaurants, but this was the first one I saw. Now I know there are two within a short drive from my home, so we will be going to them soon. No more 4 Rivers for us–although John Rivers story is amazing too. What a philanthropist he has become. Go John!

If you like BBQ and LOVE great service, head to Mission BBQ in Lady Lake now!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Mission BBQ of Lady Lake, was an amazing experience! From the moment we walked in, the service was excellent and made us feel right at home. The food was outstanding—full of flavor and truly unique styles you won’t find just anywhere. Everything was fresh, creative, and absolutely delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back again. Highly recommend! Both my husband and son are military, my son currently active duty in the navy

Personally I love mission bbq and their mission. We first came across these in Colorado so I was hoping for the same great bbq and this place did not disappoint.
I got the 2 meat platter with brisket and turkey. My hubby got the same except he got a jalapeno sausage instead of turkey. We both got fries which are gluten-free, YAY! We both loved our food, so yummy! Glad thr constantly is there. Will be back!

Had lunch for the first time here and the food is truly exceptional! BUT I must say THE EMPLOYEES ARE TRULY AMAZING! They go above and beyond with their exceptional kindness, ensuring every need is met with utmost care. Also the national anthem at 12 was a wonderful highlight. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The food was very good and the service was outstanding!
The cashier and the prep associate were both very friendly and professional.
I got the 3 meat sampler: turkey, pork, and chicken with fries and a side garden salad.
I also love the Georgia mustard sauce.

I chose to eat on the patio and a third associate checked on me twice to make sure I had all the sauces I wanted and to ask what else I needed.

The ambience could be improved by resetting the outside lights timer so the lights come on when it gets dark.
I ate mostly in the dark. 1/2 the lights came on at 7pm, but the railing lights that supply light to the tables never did.

Went to Mission BBQ tonight with my wife.
We had received an envelope on our previous trip and in it was a offer for a free item.
Our prize was an free XL which is for free side dish and beverage.
The restaurant was very crowded and the line to order was long.
The staff is always very friendly, respectful and accommodating.
They apologized for the wait, which despite how busy they were was not too long.
Our order was on point. Delicious and plentiful.
In fact the sandwich meat was too much for my wife so she brought some home
Pulled chicken was great. Bansa with brisket and mac and cheese sides were outstanding.
The hotels stopped by a few times to check on us.
When she found out I was retired law enforcement she brought over a cherry cheesecake on the house and wrote on brown paper on the tray “thank you for your service sir.”
What a nice gesture.
I love all they do for veterans and first responders.
We love this restaurant and have told many others about our positive experiences at all Mission BBQs we visit both in Florida and in New Jersey.

Wow! This was our first time here and I was blown away by their amazing service. The server happened to ask if our dad was vet and he is so she brought him a piece of strawberry shortcake on the house. The food was really good and very reasonable priced. Honestly, one of the best resturants I’ve been to in a really long time. They were all so kind and welcoming! We were all talking about how great this place hours later!!! I definitely recommend!

First time ever trying Mission BBQ totally blown away by the customer service by Darrell working the service room. First time very friendly walk up to the counter place your order and then they call your name and bring your food. Sit down eat your meal. Darrell was working in the dining room. He was super friendly greeted us after our meal. Made sure we were enjoying ourselves and answered Any questions. Was able to offer us a free sample of a Red Velvet dessert and also provided us with a return free sandwich to try something else on the menu. The theme of military and police and all the memorabilia hanging on the wall is absolutely amazing. Definitely will return to this location. Based on the great food. Great barbecue restaurant. We had pulled pork and pulled chicken. Great sides, mac & cheese( award winning we were told ) and fries, everything was amazing. Eat at this location and chain !!

On January 13, 2026 @ 6:43pm we entered the MISSION BBQ 631 N. US HWY 27/441, LADY LAKE, FLORIDA. We were greeted with a smile by Mayri and she was so nice and has a wonderful personality. Our food was delicious and the dining area was very nice and clean. Emmy came to our table to make sure that everything was good and she was so nice and has really gave us a wonderful dining experience. I also noticed Emmy checked on every table to make sure everyone in the dining area was happy. Everyone at this MISSION BBQ are very nice to all of the customers and they all work very well with each other and give each customer an outstanding dining experience. This comes from the heart, “ME AND MY HUSBAND ARE VERY IMPRESSED WITH EVERY EMPLOYEE, AT THIS MISSION BBQ, AND HOW GOOD EACH ONE OF THOSE EMPLOYEES TREAT OUR RETIRED MILITARY AND LAW ENFORCEMENT. EACH ONE OF THOSE EMPLOYEES MAKE US FEEL WELCOME AND APPRECIATED AND THAT GIVES US A GREAT EXPERIENCE. WE THANK ALL OF YOU FOR THAT EXPERIENCE AND THANK YOU FOR GIVING US AN OUTSTANDING DINING EXPERIENCE.”
