We got the shrimp salad and gnocchi to go. Both were excellent and they were able to accommodate dairy free for both dishes. Portions are a bit small for the price but the quality makes up for it.

Local eatery with an open and airy interior with shaded out door seating. Food was well executed. You can tell they put a lot of thought into the details. The gnocchi with shrimp was a standout. Friendly and informed staff made our experience truly wonderful. The salted caramel budino was super good and made by one of them! Even if you’re full, order it, you won’t regret it. We will be back soon. Before I forget: street parking only-get ready for a walk!

nobody in long beach does pasta like ellies does pasta!! the staff are so accommodating and kind, our waiter EJ was great about our dietary restrictions. i don’t know what they put in the chitarra sauce but i’ve never had anything like it, just WOW ! the patio is quiet so it’s easy to hear and talk, and they manage the warmth well. i drag everyone i know here and i will keep doing so if they keep making pasta this delicious. i recommend reservations + taking the bus/walking if you can

Came by on a whim through a recommendation from chatGPT lol. I was craving pasta. I ordered the one that starts with a T and my daughter ordered the one that starts with a P hehe. I can’t remember the names! The pasta tasted fresh and the sauce was obviously cooked for a long time and tasty. I would come back and try another dish.

This is a decent place for Italian food. The roasted cauliflower was pretty good and unique. The pepperocini and red onions went well with it. The angel hair with mussels and clams were very good. It looks like spaghetti-os but it is very good. The gnocchi was also good and interesting given its abnormal shape.it was very pillowy and good with the sauce. Both pasta dishes had some sort of kick with it. The atmosphere was lively and but of noise with as many ppl as there was eating there.
The service was a little bit inconsistent, from being late to being seated after making a reservation to not being attendee to in a timely manner. Overall good place to eat at. I’d come back to try some of their more interesting items like the shrimp and melon.
Terrible area to find parking so come ahead of time.

Last night for Valentine’s Day my wife and I went to Gingers (their tasting menu) and the food was amazing. Everything they brought out from start to finish was delicious and the service was great. I don’t know if this is just for special events but I’m leaving this review in the hopes they make it a regular occurrence. The room/ambience, everything was good. Thankful for the great experience.

Got the lunch special for about $35. Included a salad (got the Caesar), an entree (got the tagliatelle), and a dessert (I had chocolate pudding). Great deal. All were delicious! Excellent, friendly and accommodating service. No wait on a Thursday at 12pm when they opened.

This is for the private dining room for Ellie’s. We went to Ginger’s to celebrate a few birthdays on Thursday and I have to say, the experience was amazing. The dining room is a communal table with whoever books for the evening. I really suggest going with an even amount of people as servings are shared plates between two. And if you’re looking for a quiet dinner, do not come here. That being said, I really liked the experience here because you get to really see the abilities of the chef as he served dishes not on the normal Ellie’s menu. Thank you also to the chef for making a dish that my friend with dietary restrictions required. The server was top notch and really elevated the experience. I will be returning.

My friend and I went to have a little holiday dinner before the end of the year.
We were sat down immediately, put in our order, got one glass of wine.
Waited 1 whole hour before we were addressed again. The table next to us was seated, had bread and mains, before we were even addressed again.
They must have forgotten to put in our order or something because, again, after an hour they realized we were still without a refill or any of our food that was ordered.
When they finally brought the food, the rolls we ordered were still cold on the center. The pasta and Brussels sprouts were good.
I love Elli’s. It’s my favorite restaurant in Long Beach, but the service yesterday was not on par.
