Powhatan Restaurant is a great stop if you’re passing through or local. Very family-friendly environment with good pricing and semi truck parking, which is a big plus. They have daily specials and true hometown meals that feel homemade. I had the chicken fried steak breakfast and it was exceptionally good — cooked right and very filling. While it may seem a bit pricey at first, the portions are very generous and the price is absolutely fair for the amount of food you get. Cash only, but they do have an ATM on site so it’s not an issue. There’s also a gambling lounge if that’s your thing. Zoey was very attentive even with a busy restaurant, making sure everyone was enjoying their food and always had full drinks. Overall, a solid, comfortable place with good food and a welcoming atmosphere. I’ll definitely stop again.

Our waitress didn’t miss a beat, was very friendly, and happy to recommend her favorites. The food was AMAZING, quick service, large servings, and a worthy driving out of your way. The chicken strips are hand breaded and everything comes out hot and fresh. Anytime I’m in the area in the future, I will be stopping in!

Food is excellent, in a family friendly atmosphere. We drive over from St. Louis, just to eat here. I always get the cheeseburger with fries while my husband orders different things. He says he’s never had a meal he was sorry he’d ordered. I like this place!

Great food, good service , good atmosphere, but some of the prices are ridiculous. 4 pieces of pie, 2 of them with ice cream and 2 of them with whipped cream and 3 drinks cost almost $45. The pancakes are huge but $6 for one pancake? Seriously?

Excellent and unique breakfast spot right off I-70. Just 20 miles east of I-270, but seems much further. Food and service were excellent. I had biscuits and gravy others had pigs in a blanket which were both excellent. Bring cash as they don’t accept credit cards!!!

Food is good. Service is great. Bring cash as they prefer not to accept cards unless you are staying in the motel. Their cobblers are a nice finish to your meal especially with a scoop of ice cream. They also have craft beer on draft. It’s a bit on the pricey side. But, then again, what isn’t these days?

Love stopping here to eat before I go to the range across the street. The service here is awesome. Restaurant is very clean and bright inside. Staff is friendly and professional. Did not wait long for our food to arrive. Food tasted very good. Will continue to stop by when I am in the area.

I ordered Belt Busters for my Wife and I, with the NY Strip as my steak. And both of them was cooked to a perfect medium Rare. Was honestly the best breakfast I have had in a long time. Price is reasonable and well balanced for the amount of food I received .. Highly recommend!
