I came here for the first time after driving by this place for years. I shouldn’t have stopped in I should have just kept driving. The pop we ordered was flat, the soup we ordered was clearly microwaved. The rest of the food was old and cold. The worst part of it all was that the meat was still raw, not fully cooked at all. I don’t complain about food ever, I just pay the bill and leave. This place is the worst restaurant I’ve been to in my 37 years of being on this earth. It’s worse than George’s on N. Dixie, and that’s saying alot.

We called ahead for 16 people for a Birthday party. Birthday was not acknowledged,no big deal. Our group was divided into two in which one group received sides before the other was even asked what we want. Once drinks were served with problems waitress blamed the bartender. Then once we all ordered food and it came out there was no knowledge from waitress as to where the food goes. Any mistakes was blamed on the cooks or her help I personally had a burger only because she had no idea if the prime rib was ready or even available. But no one out of the group was satisfied.. maybe the waitress wasn’t ready but right now I’m witnessing they don’t even have the Bills correct!! Terrible experience!! Sorty to say!!!

This place combines both comfort and great food. It’s not pretentious, but rather feels like family serving you top notch food. The people who both work there and frequent there provide a unique environment that once defined America, but has become lost to the past. I will definitely return.

Our first time there and the food was delicious! I sweet tea was great! I rarely order tea because I usually only like my tea but this tea was great! If you’re looking for extremely dim atmosphere this is your place….waitress was great! Great prices! I had already started eating and then took the picture. The mushroom fries, onion rings and we had a stacked burger salad (I think that’s what it was called)…..SO dang good!

A week ago. Friday..5pm. After Christmas. Looking forward to our favorites. The crusted whitefish was was small & so over deep fried. The combo of ribs/chicken fingers..oh my. Ribs, boiled & under the poured on bbq sauce, there was water & grey dark scum. The chicken fingers like the whitefish were hard & over deep fried. Their whitefish has always been soft & a winner. Their ribs always so tender with bbq sauce cooked right in them. The tenders were not homemade…processed

This was the second time I was there. This place has become my family restaurant when we take our annual trip to Hamvention. The food has been great every time. They cook their steaks perfect every time. Last year I got the fish…perfect…this year I got the porter house..even better. I have been to places that are rated better according to food critics and I feel this place may not have the ambiance of a 5 star restaurant…but their food is way beyond 5 stars. I cant wait to get back.

What a fun locally owned bar/restaurant! Dark wood, a central bar, and an old-fashioned vibe lend to the comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.
Server was super sweet and took good care of us despite the fact she was also bartending that evening.
Had a burger and soup, both of which were delicious. For anyone who likes Titos vodka, they carry it!

We took friends to the Buckhorn for cabbage rolls only to be told they were out of them and another popular entree. This was early on a Saturday. Our dinner were cold when served, BBQ ribs were over seasoned, veggies were warmed up canned corn or mushy over cooked squash. We all left most of our meals. The restaurant itself looks worn. Very sorry to see this decline. Our server and the hostess were very nice and polite. It wasn’t busy and now we know why.
