Walked in to what i thought was going to be a dive italian restaurant, the 4 guys behind the counter said I could head on in and sit anywhere. Once you get past the expo window it opens up to additional seating in the rear.

Ordered a cheese pizza. They do offer ny style and deep dish. I ordered the new york style in a classic cheese. The crust was crisp and offered low hang. The sauce was not overpowering the crist the grease was minimal and that cheese was soo good.

The server had brought some dinner rolls before hand and those were also really nice.

The only negative feedback is they have not modernized their menu to accomidate an N.A. drinker they carried odouls but thats 1980’s trash beer. Could have made the meal and experience that much better overall the entire experience was a 7 out of 10.

I’ve been ordering from Umberto’s for many years, dating back all the way to when I lived down the block from them on Long Island, and now ordering from them down here in Central Florida. I’ve always spoke very highly of this place. But now, now I’m pissed, because this is just grimey behavior.

Umberto’s offers an optional (pricey) upcharge for a 16in x 16in Sicilian Pie. Normally I order a round pie but decided to splurge tonight. This deep dish pie with 1 topping comes out to nearly $40 (not including tax, fees, or tip).

When it arrived I immediately thought to myself “This doesn’t feel heavy enough” then “Wait, this box isn’t big enough, either, it’s obviously too small, did they send me a round pie instead?”

But nope: they simply scammed me by sending a 14in x 14 in (which is a big difference on a square pie). 14in x 14in isn’t even on the menu. This wasn’t a mistake. They intentionally are skimming.

I just went from being a frequent customer for over a decade to feeling done with this place.

If you want to feel like you’re in an Italian restaurant from up North, this is the obvious place! You feel welcomed from the moment you enter, with a homey feel and friendly server. I’m a very fussy first generation Italian-American and I love their food. Their sauce is very simple, like it should be and so delicious! Their pizza is fantastic! Their appetizers from the bruchetta to the stuffed mushrooms to the caprese are out of this world! The only thing I feel could be different is the cost of the dessert. I got a slice of cake and for the price, it should have been a bit bigger. It was delicious though so I let that go! You won’t regret it! Get there early because they start getting packed quickly! Grazie Umberto for giving me a taste of back home and buon appetito a tutti!

My wife and I had dinner at Umberto’s for the first time. The pizza is very good for NY style pizza. The baked clams were very good along with the antipasto salad. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The seating area is small but cozy. It can be a little loud but that is normal for Italian dinners LOL. We will be coming back the next time we are in the Dunedin area.

We both wanted Italian for dinner, this lil restaurant offered Italian Seafood dishes, pasta and great appetizers. We enjoyed the bruschetta, salad and pasta. The meatballs were some of the best I’ve tasted, delicate meat, moist and fun of flavor. Wonderful red sauce, with herbs and fresh tomato flavors, We skipped dessert, but had to take a picture as this is our U date in our Alapebet dates. If you are in the Dunedin area, check it out!

It’s really hard to find NY pizza like this!! This is absolutely the best pizza aroud; so much so that we now live 34 min away and still go there! From pizza to veal we ate way too much tonight but it was worth it!

We had an excellent dinner this afternoon at this restaurant. My chicken francese was sauted to perfect – very yummy, with a side of penne with a delicious marinara sauce and her lasagna was delicious as well. Great place. Highly recommended.

We’re from Long Island originally, so for my birthday, we took a 3 mile bike ride up to Dunedin for some authentic N.Y. style pizze & garlic knots . The pizza is as close to NY pizza in Florida that your going to get , the atmosphere was relaxing and we enjoyed conversation with fellow new Yorkers. 10 out of 10 , can’t wait to go back.

We loveeee the pizza here! The dough is delicious and always has a crispy bite. I think part of the reason I love it so much is the cheese, they must use good quality cheese
