Came here to celebrate my brothers birthdays and overall had a good meal and good experience. The staff was friendly, helpful with the menu and our hibachi chef made it a fun experience for us all. In comparison to other hibachi restaurants I have been to, the portion sizes here are pretty good. I ordered the salmon and got two large filets. While the cook was a little more done than I prefer the seasoning was pretty good. I did also order some of the eel sushi to try and it was okay. Overall a good experience but I do wish their set up was a little different. They have chairs in a U shape with grills on each side of the U. Our party filled up almost the whole U shape but we only had one chef so four of us just could see the back of the chef which was kinda awkward and made it hard to see the food show.

This was an awesome experience! We really enjoyed the cooking. It was entertaining and fun. The food es awesome! And the portions were nice. The price for everything was also reasonable. I’d definitely go back if I’m ever in Houston again.

Came here to celebrate my dad’s 50th birthday and loved every second of it! From beginning to end the staff was very attentive and kind. They even had a bilingual chef for us which was very much appreciated! The onion soup was absolutely delicious, never had anything like it before. I had the hibachi steak dinner and tempura shrimp as an appetizer.

Note: everyone in your party must arrive before you are seated.

We stopped by Hayashi Hibachi & Sushi while passing through Houston, and overall it was a really good experience. The restaurant was quiet, and the service was quick, which we appreciated.

I ordered the yellowtail jalapeño — I get this every chance I get at sushi spots — and this one did NOT disappoint. 10/10 recommend. It was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced.

The spicy girl roll was good, but I expected a bit more heat. It definitely tasted better once I paired it with soy sauce. The tempura tuna didn’t have a ton of flavor on its own, but again, soy sauce helped bring it together.

The gyoza was my only real complaint. It was a little doughy for my liking and could’ve used a bit more crisp or texture.

The hibachi steak was solid — I’d give it about a 7/10. Good, but not the standout of the meal.

Overall, everything was good, service was fast, and I’d definitely come back — especially for that yellowtail jalapeño.

The food is extremely overpriced, and they constantly try to push extra sides and add-ons to increase your bill. The chef was very kind and put on a great show while cooking, as expected at a hibachi restaurant. During the performance, he encouraged us to tip, and we agreed to give him a good tip, not knowing that when we paid the bill, they had already added an automatic 18% gratuity hidden as a “service charge.” On top of that, they were still asking for another 18% tip. If we had agreed to pay the double gratuity they were charging, we would have ended up paying almost 40% of our total bill in tips, plus what we had already given directly to the chef. I will not be coming back.

Went the day before Valentines first time in a Hibachi restaurant and tbh food was alright. Fried rice was not as good. Ordered steak and chicken hibachi plus a chicken lomein, shrimp tempura sushi and cream cheese wontons. Wonton seemed to be more of empanada texture.
Vegetables were good. chicken and steak could’ve been seasoned better. Our chef was nice but not as interactive.
