We had a wonderful dining experience at Taj Tandoori. Every dish we ordered was full of flavour and clearly made with care and expertise.
We started with the kabab platter, which was perfectly cooked, tender, and well-seasoned. The lamb biryani was aromatic and rich, with beautifully cooked rice and generous pieces of lamb. The paneer tikka masala paired with plain naan was creamy and balanced, and the lamb curry with garlic naan was deeply flavourful and comforting. We finished with their special dessert, which was the perfect ending to an already excellent meal.
A special mention to Head Chef Nahid — the quality, consistency, and presentation of the food truly reflect his skill and passion. You can tell there is strong leadership in the kitchen, and it really elevates the entire dining experience. The owners should be very proud of the work coming out of their kitchen.
Highly recommend Taj Tandoori for anyone looking for authentic, well-executed Indian cuisine. We’ll definitely be back!

Food was delicious, one of the best curry I’ve ever had. And the garlic Naan bread was just perfect.

The food here is amazing! We went for dinner and ordered fish tikka, black daal, prawn madras, mushroom rice and peshwari naan. It was all lovely and the daal was surprisingly very light and delicious. The service was fantastic, so quick and attentive. Everyone there was friendly. We would definitely go back again!

Found this great place while visiting Cambridge. Arrived and was pleasantly greeted by the staff. Venue was very nice
Food was fantastic, especially the mixed grill platter. The lamb was very soft and there was nice ghee mixed with garlic taste on top. The garlic naan was soft was full of flavour. Was all very reasonably priced.
Will definitely come back on the next trip to Cambridge.

Update: We visited again after 8 months (we live in a different city far away, for reference) and Taj Tandoori didn’t let us down. The quality of the food was exceptional as always and the staff were very kind and attentive. Naeem once again was very smiley and happy to see us. He even remembered us from all those months ago. I would highly recommend.
Excellent, excellent, excellent!!! We visited twice on a long weekend visit to Cambridge, and were blown away. Truly magnificent, flavourful food with top quality presentation. Not only is the food excellent but the service is also first class. All the staff, especially Naeem, were always smiling and couldn’t do enough for you. Seating is ample and comfortable, and love that they have bollywood music playing in the background. If you live in Cambridge, or are just visiting then I would highly recommend Taj Tandoori.

Great Indian Bangladeshi cuisine. Served with an eye for aesthetics, the taste is warm and complex as it should be, and the food was of a very high quality. We had the Indian roast dinner. Tandoori chicken, and interesting spin on the Yorkshire pudding with an Indian twang. Delightful. Slightly spicy roast potatoes and delicious gravy (gravy available in two variants, spicy and traditional flavours). I’m not usually a fan of fusion cuisine. But this was outstanding. I highly reccomend this restaurant. The service was attentive and very friendly and polite. Pricing was competitive. We were even given a starter dish for no charge. I will definitely be a returning customer.
