Let’s start with the good. The service was outstanding. Very friendly and very accommodating. The restaurant is in what looks like an old house with 11 tables, all very close together. Not very intimate but if you enjoy meeting strangers and chiming in on conversation (not in a negative way!) this is a cute charming little place! The food was subpar. It’s $12 for 1 brioche bun an 2 pieces of toast with 3 little dabs of butter. The house made brioche was very dry. The mashed potatoes were bland. The prices charged are not equivalent to the quality provided. I understand the farm to table concept can be more expensive, but the quality isn’t what I expected for the price I paid.

We made a reservation for 5pm on a Saturday. We got there and were seated and it was pretty quiet inside. We ordered the short rib potato skins for an appetizer and they were decent, I would have preffered the cold sour cream in a container on the side. We ordered dinner and both of us ordered a dinner special on their board which was the prime ribeye and king crab legs. The waitress soon came back to the table to let us know they only had one special left (at 5pm!) so I switched my order to prime ribeye and shrimp. I ordered the shrimp blackened. While we waited on our order we opened a bottle of wine that we brought with us, there is no corkage fee. The house, yes the restaurant is in a house, started to fill up and then we could barely hear one another. Our food came out and my friend said her crab legs were cold like they were in the fridge. My shrimp was definitely not blackened and they were also cold. My steak was cooked right and it was fine not melt in your mouth good. My potatoes were ok and i ordered a side of the four cheese grits. The grits were maybe the best thing I ate here. Toward the end of the meal the waitress came back by and we ordered dessert. I also asked for a to-go box. My friend ordered a pumpkin fluff cake and I ordered vanilla creme brulee. While waiting for our dessert someone came to our table to tell us we had to leave! What!?! Their next reservation was here. I said we have ordered dessert! First time anyone ever tried to run me out of a restaurant. She said she would talk to the waitress. While waiting for the waitress to come back someone asked if I needed a box and I finally received that. The waitress came back with our desserts and said because she was slow taking our dessert order we were fine to stay and take our time as they moved the other reservation to another table. My creme brulee was made right and good. My friend said her cake was too cold like it came straight out of the fridge. Our bill was about $100 each with tip.
We will not return here. Value for the money just not there.

Me and my mom went here for a lunch date after seeing lots of recommendations while were looking for healthy, local food. We were not disappointed! This place provides a nice atmosphere that is calm and quiet, which is right up my alley. The service was prompt and our waitress was friendly. It got a bit busy during our meal and the one waitress did a great job managing all the tables. The food tasted very good and you can see and taste the quality. I got the Brioche Cheeseburger cooked medium well and it was cooked to perfection. It was juicy and had the perfect amount of pink in the middle. The fries were fresh and crunchy. My mom got the Brioche Fish Sandwich and she loved it. All in all, eating here is very satisfying and I hope to return soon!

Found this spot by chance, my wife and I ate there tonight for our anniversary. Service was polite and checked on us often. Food was amazing, the egg rolls and deep fried deviled eggs were killer. Will definitely be coming back.

Visited again last night and, again, it was a great experience. We brought a bottle of Bread and Butter Pinot Noir to enjoy with our meal. Although it didn’t pair well with the food we got, it’s still a fantastic wine. We ordered an appetizer but something happened and it didn’t come out. That ended up being a good thing because we were so full with the food we did get. My wife had the Blue Crab Fettuccine Alfredo – a blackboard special. She got the gluten free pasta. It was fantastic! Creamy and the seafood was perfect. I had the whole fish, which was Branzino, topped with crab Alfredo. What an excellent dish! For sides I got the bleu cheese cole slaw and mashed potatoes. Second time I’ve had the cole slaw so that alone tells you I like it. Creamy and tangy. The mashed potatoes were buttery and just great. Ended with desserts of Bourbon vanilla bean creme brulee and lemon whip cake. The creme brulee was smooth and very tasty, and the cake was light and the lemon filling was tart. Looking forward to our next visit!

I will start by saying that I posted a 5/5 review at Bite a few years ago and almost all of my reviews are 5/5. I’m not one to post complaints as I understand the food business is difficult, especially for a local and independent restaurant. With that, I had the most disappointing experience I have had in a long time…maybe ever, last Friday, February 27. I hope this helps the etablishment reflect on best practices for a sucessful future.
First the good – most of the food WAS exemplary as always; the only reason 4 stars was given was the food timing and incorrect side order (see below)
The disppointment –
1. Reservation – It was at 6:30 and we were seated at 7:15. Every table was at capacity while three people were greeters, servers, bussers, etc. I never saw anyone else front of house. They could not maintain full capacity. Two tables were finished with their bills paid as we watched the table talk for 30 minutes without leaving, and no visits by a server to check on them.
2. Order – We wanted to order our salad and bread first, and then entrees. The server told us we needed to order at the same time per the chef, which is fine as long as everything didn’t come out at once. Server confirmed. Then, we waited 30 mintues for that while others who were seated later received their salads, etc. much earlier. No server to be seen….and then another server brings out EVERYTHING at the same time. We accepted our salads and bread and asked for the entrees to come out in 15 minutes, which they complied.
3. But wait, there’s more – Our real server comes back and asks how everything is. We told her what happened and she had no idea, so had to reorder our food which eventually came out.
4. Incorrect side order – no biggie at first but the truffle fries we ordered came out as regualr fries. The server disagreed, so we showed her as proof and then said it’s fine, can you just bring ketchup? Guess what? No ketchup! Not a big deal about fries really, but then..
5. The Bill – So they did charge us $5 at the end instead of $9 for the regualr fries. Our server never came back to get our bill, so we had to flag another down in the front. We asked if the fries could be taken off (seriously $5) since we never even got ketchup as SOMETHING to eat these with. She said she had to get owner approval and within 20 seconds, the answer was a clear NO. I know that food margins are tight, but this wasn’t an entree, these were french fries.
I’m easy going and opened minded, but with that NO…I have to be that person and say I won’t be back. I hope this is taken into consideration, so others can continue to enjoy the fine times at Bite!. I wish them well, but this was way too much.

Great quaint little place with great healthy food choices. Reservations are a must because it is small. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Parking is a one way loop so be aware of that. Plan on spending about $40 per person. Its tricky to find the entrance so use your GPS.
