Treat Dreams has great custom ice cream flavors and homemade Waffle Cones.

Some of the flavors are pretty crazy, like Sweet Corn; or the slightly more conventional Chocolate with Chocolate Chips. You can try before you buy, so you might have a new favorite you never could have imagined.

The waffle cones are made daily in-house. Chocolate or Regular. They are the best you have ever had, believe me.

You can get quarts of ice cream to take home.

It’s a huge, fun space with comics to read and games for the kids.

A couple of video games are in the back; X-Men and Pac-Man when I was there.

There is outdoor seating too.

Highly Recommended .

Stopped in 1st time past Saturday during Dream Cruise 2025. Very friendly staff, great ice cream, selling water for just 1.00 bottle, they even had free water avail for those who needed or wanted. Clean restrooms. Great place!

Chill place with great vegan ice cream. Highly recommend the wookiee monster. Love that they have 500 ml take home container options as well and that they have new flavours to try between visits. Vegan options clearly marked and kept separately.

These desserts are not worth the price. I ordered a few items for delivery and was sent slivers of cake in plastic for $7 each. I assumed I was ordering a piece of cake.

Been coming to Treat Dreams since they opened but I was a little disappointed in my experience last week.

As Google reads, the store closes at 8:30. I drove all the way from Downtown Detroit & got there around 8:05. There was a couple enjoying ice cream at the table but the worker was no where to be found (no biggie, I assumed they were in the back & busy). We waited in line for a few minutes & other people even came in after us, waiting too.

When the worker returned he told us that they were actually closed & he was just taking out the trash. (Again, there were people eating at tables, & the doors were literally unlocked). He stated that Google (& the sign on their door that had a different time than google) were both wrong & they actually closed at 8. He also offered to let us buy one of the pints in the freezer (which was kind, but not what i came there for).

I understand it wasn’t his fault, but these kind of errors can be very frustrating when you drove 25 minutes there. Also why was the door unlocked & people still in the dining area? 🙁

I will still be making the drive back out there soon & hopefully this time the hours will be accurate :’)

The chocolate pie that Treat Dreams has is by far the best I have ever tasted. It is soft, with tons of chocolate in each bite, and the crust pairs well with the overall dish. Be sure to request warming up the pie before you begin the savoring process. I highly recommend adding a scoop of ice cream to the top as well to enhance the flavor- that being said it really goes well by itself and it absolutely will smack around your taste buds left and right. It is rich so I would recommend sharing it with another. They also have other pastries and cookie monster is one of their best ice cream flavors. The issues that I have is that the chocolate pie is almost always sold out by the time I arrive. I would not be upset about this but when I call no one ever picks up, if I call and confirm whether or not they have a product before arriving I would not be as upset. There is plenty of parking behind the building, and the service is still great just need to stock up on products and pick up the phone more. If you are in the area I would definitely recommend stopping in.

great when they’re actually open. i try to make a routine out of going after a recurring appointment nearby, and often the doors are all locked with no signs indicating why. open sign on. I really do love it here, but locking up in the middle of your posted business hours for seemingly no reason, is super annoying

They’re inconsistent with making vegan chocolate options. They used to be great now they don’t even update the menus on social media when asked. Get it together. Hire a new ice cream maker.

There’s nothing special about this place. I ordered a cookie sundae (pictured) for $9. Ice cream was below average as well as the cookie. They charged me for the hot fudge ($1 extra for toppings) but didn’t for my friend for some reason.

The store layout was kind of weird. You kind of had to look hard to find the ice cream flavors. The start of the line was on one side, and the ice cream menu was halfway down the line. I think it should be at the very beginning. If you wanted to know the different cookies you could choose for the cookie sundae, you had to walk to the complete opposite end of the place, away from everything.

Don’t go out of the way for the place, it’s nothing special. And if you are near it, find somewhere else to go. There is very good ice cream down closer to Maple and Woodward.

The staff was kind of friendly though.

Overall: 4.8/10
