@cotijas_santee offers a wide variety of delicious Mexican dishes, serving everything from chicken and beef to seafood. The portions are generous, and I loved that the food wasn’t too salty or oily — just perfectly balanced in flavor. The staff was also very friendly, even with how busy it gets.
I highly recommend giving them a try if you’re in the Santee area, my fav was the surf and turf fries

Absolutely amazing food! My wife and I were sad to leave this restaurant behind! It is so good, everything is packed full of flavor you get what you pay for and you could point at the menu and it would taste amazing.

Must gets are the Barria taco, and the shrimp burrito!!!!!

We ordered take out tonight and my husband decided to go over to Cotija in Santee we live in (La Mesa). I ordered a carne asada burrito and he had the California burrito. His burrito was full of fries mostly with a small potrtion of meat and cheese. No pico de gallo, no sour cream and no guac. It was dry. My carne asada burrito was just ok. Not much flavor at all and the meat was VERY scarce. The more I ate the less meat. See pictures. Very disappointed in the place. We’ve been coming here for years. Management to better!

A San Diego staple with basic Mexican food. Specials like Menudo and Burris are awesome. Large Menu, but In my opinion the simple things like Quesadillas and RBC burritos are overpriced but whatever. Quick and efficient service and friendly staff.

Visiting while waiting for my car to be serviced. I ordered Combo #1 with Beef Taco and Cheese Enchilada. The combo includes rices and beans. I also ordered a medium Horchata easy ice. Order came out perfect, hot, fresh. Also grabbed some radishes and hot carrots. Radishes trimmed, washed and crispy, carrots firm but soft and perfectly pickled- a little heat but the spice lingered on my lips. Interior is clean, found an outlet for my phone and nice decor. The TV is on but no volume, captions are on so it’s quiet.
