We are a fine dining meets flip flops establishment on South Bass Island. American style restaurant serving fresh, quality, made to order dishes. There are always four homemade soups every day. Do not miss out on our perch tacos. We have prime, house cut steaks, seafood and delicious pastas for dinner. Enjoy a bottle of wine from our large wine selection or try one of our fresh, garden grown mojitos. The biergarten in the front terrace is open daily serving cold beer, soft pretzels, hot dogs and more. Upstairs lunch starts at 11:30 and dinner starts at 5. The kitchen closes from 4-5 to get ready for the dinner menu. Reservations are highly recommended.

We had a great dinner, the food was excellent – We were able to share all kinds of stuff. Everything was cooked to perfection. Staff was pretty good. Restaurant was clean and upbeat, drinks were spot on.

Fantastic food, excellent atmosphere, wonderful, hard working, efficient staff that just make dining here a joy each and every time. The Hostess was on point, she worked non stop to make the floor run smoothly. The Busser never let anything empty sit longer than 30 seconds on our table. Megan, our waitress, was an absolute gem! Her recommendations were spot on. What a joy to watch everyone work like a well oiled machine, and with smiles on their faces.
On to the food, the start of the show. The Rose Plate with salad and 2 soups, brilliant and delicious! The Creole Shrimp was wonderful. The Italian named dessert was the knockout punch, wow, 4 of us tackled it and we’re amazed at how good it was. Can’t wait to come back.

Most definitely where flip flops meet fine dining! Let me tell you… THIS place is absolutely PHENOMENAL! I know we were the last table on a Friday night in the off season… but, everything from the hostess, our server to the food was absolutely top notch! The mussels were fresh & flavorful, pesto pasta was absolute perfection & all of our steaks were supurbly seasoned & melt in your mouth beyond satisfaction. I can not brag enough about everything here… Our server was a good sport & took great care of us even though it was her birthday! I can’t wait to go back!

Be sure to make a reservation. Our party of 4 arrived gave our name and were seated right away in a beautiful area with a gorgeous view. Our server. Was attentive and gave perfect recommendation. I got the Mediterranean veggie naan it was scrumptious! I regret that there is not a Goat Soup and Whiskey here for me to have this again soon. Everyone in my party loved their food!

The atmosphere is wonderful, either outside or inside. The menu is full of interesting options. They make everything in house but the wait was minimal. I enjoyed the Lamb burger, the spices were incredible! The perch tacos were delicious. The wine menu is extensive! Please don’t mix the opportunity to dine here, either for lunch or dinner. Reservations are a good idea!

Good food in a relaxed but nice setting. Whiskey pour was generous. Interesting cocktail options. Tasty fresh perch and walleye. Very satisfying chicken dishes. We sat outside and it was very pleasant. Very busy but the noise was not overwhelming. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Slightly upscale food on an island full of lowbrow fare. Well designed and thougtful surroundings and interior and Design. Very good service, servers, and menu. It is a very good experience here with the pairing of chocolate baked goods authentic German beer and food. Well worth the visit if you’re on the island.
