Wonderful place. Clean, open, and inviting the staff was very friendly.
Potato skins were fresh and made in house. Crispy with real bacon and lots of cheese.
The Yellow Jacket burger was delicious. I’m not a fan of beer cheese Mac and cheese but the server was quick to offer a replacement and the grilled veggies were amazing.
Finished up with Apple Pie and a Bistro Brew (coffee with whisky and whipped cream) which was delicious.

First time coming here since they’ve changed the name and upgraded the restaurant. Food was great service was friendly and the owner obviously has a attention to details and cares about what he’s doing.

We have eaten at this restaurant many times and had always enjoyed the food.
Today, was different. The chicken broccoli Alfredo, pot roast, and a light combo of adult grilled cheese with salad were ordered..
The salads came and the greens were slimy and rotten..it seemed like no one in the kitchen cared about a fresh salad.
The chicken broccoli Alfredo was dry, hardly no sauce and no flavor at all, plus the chicken breast was dry. The pot roast seemed to be ok except the salad as before was nasty. When the young waitress brought my sandwich and walked away I called her back, showed her the adult grilled cheese which resembled a kids cheese sandwich on toast and asked to speak to a manager, who had just come into the restaurant. I let her see the food.. and told her we had eaten there before and never had a problem..of course she made excuses saying the salad fixing were probably put together in the morning…that is no reason for greens to be slimy..
So, I didnt have to pay for my food since it was all around awful and the others who were with me wasn’t charged for salads and a discount given.
The one thing I want to say…it was not the young waitress we had fault…I am sure she was upset and I didnt get to let her know so hopefully she will see this review..
Don’t think we will be back.

I ordered the carnivore omelet, side of goetta, white toast with strawberry jelly (they make their own, its amazing). Wife got French toast and biscuits and gravy. Everything was fresh and perfectly made, it was all fantastic. Great service too! Glad we have a one off restaurant in cleves.

We had such friendly service! The place was so clean and the staff were so nice and helpful, the portion sizes were so nice and priced so well! We really loved this place and will be hopefully returning. It was a very nice place to take a toddler which is so difficult to find. I really appreciated how clean the highchair was, as our waitress had just cleaned it for our baby, and really appreciated how patient they were with having a baby at the table. This was the first time I’ve experienced that when taking my baby out (it can be hard of course so we typically do take out) and cant express how appreciative I am.

Went to dinner with my wife and another couple and enjoyed the evening. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Food was very good, reasonably priced, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely going to go back. We got there at 7 o’clock and the place was fairly full and we left close to closing and everyone cleared out about 8 o’clock. I’m not sure if that’s the normal flow but it looked like a good crowd.

Super high quality food that has been crafted carefully with taste and beauty in mind. I had the Kentucky Hot Brown – delicious!
The service is super friendly, a little more family feeling than business.
The price is a little higher per item than we normally do for our normal eat outs – but we still really enjoyed ourselves and thought it was definitely worth it.

This was our second visit since the new owners took over earlier this year and our first since the new menu was released. We were really looking forward to some new options on the menu. After looking over the new menu we were excited about many of the entrees. We selected the Chicken Broccoli Alfredo and the Pot Roast Platter based on the server’s recommendation. Unfortunately, the excitement ended there. When we first sat down, our server took our drink order: a beer and an Old Fashioned. She seemed puzzled by the Old Fashion order when a specific bourbon (that we saw on the shelf behind the bar) was requested. After saying she was also the bartender, we were concerned. Nonetheless, we waited for the Old Fashioned. And waited. And waited. It was not busy in the restaurant. Our server seemed to only have two other tables. After 15 minutes our food arrived to our table, but still no Old Fashioned or even a mention of it. When I canceled the drink order she seemed relieved. The Alfredo sauce was extremely disappointing. Imagine thickened milk, and this was the “Alfredo sauce”. Not a hint of parmesan cheese, no spices; it was truly one of the worst things I have ever eaten. The broccoli was clearly frozen and not seasoned. The chicken was dry. I had a few pieces of the penne pasta but couldn’t eat anymore because it was drowning in the “sauce”. I would imagine a hospital could have done a better job at the dish. The Pot Roast was very tender and the grilled veggies were good. Unfortunately, the meat was over salted making it almost impossible to eat.
Following the restaurant on Facebook, it seemed that this husband and wife team was really excited to begin their first venture in the restaurant industry and wanted to build relationships with existing customers and welcome new ones as they start fresh. Our first visit shortly after they took over we saw both of them standing behind the bar interacting more with the wait stafff and each other than any customers. We were a little surprised that they weren’t walking around asking patrons about their meal, etc. On this last visit, the owners were sitting a few tables over from us eating with their family. With several other tables filled with customers near them, we thought that each time they’d get up to bus their own table that perhaps they’d speak with customers, or even offer a friendly smile. Nope. There is not the typical “front of house” hospitality that nearly every other restaurant in the world has. Not a single person (including our server) asked how our meal was. Even after she cleared the plate of barely eaten Chicken Broccoli Alfredo.
Before leaving, we placed a carry out order of Pretzel Bites and Spicy Italian Sandwich. The Pretzel Bites, as you can see in the photos, were overcooked and very hard. To add insult to injury, once we got home we found that the cheese sauce (which might have given the burnt/hard pretzel bits a fighting chance) was not in the to-go box.
Based upon this experience it makes it very difficult to recommend Bistro 4.0.7. I hope they are able to make it work as Cleves needs a good sit down restaurant.

Nick’s Cafe was always disappointing so we stopped trying. Heard good things about the new Bistro with new owners and new food, so we decided to try, SO glad we did! The country fried steak was amazing, onion rings were delicious, fried eggs cooked over-easy to perfection, no complaints at all, will definitely be back! Service was SO friendly.

Recommended by the bike shop, where they are making some magic happen to my baby . New to this place. Quick service from our biker loving waitress. I had a great omelette with real home fried potatoes, good black coffee and whipped cream. Gravy on the side. Hot crispy Belgian waffle, fluffy inside delicious. The wife had scrambled eggs topped with cheddar cheese. Soft fried bacon. White toast with a special jelly.
Overall a delicious and tasty treat.
