Incredible, incredible, incredible! If you’re even remotely close to this restaurant, it’s a must stop! My family and I came here to eat and were warmly welcomed to the coolest, most unique atmosphere. Nanci was our server who was so patient with us even though we had so many requests and questions. Also the owner kindly took his time to stop and tell us all about the place! Food and drinks were delicious – get the Swamp Water and Gator. Resounding agreement from the entire group that this is easily one of the BEST restaurants we’ve ever been to in our lives for real. We will all be making an effort to return, even if it means having to go far out of the way!

We celebrated Christmas with a wonderful lunch at Marsh Landing Restaurant in historic Fellsmere, and it was the perfect holiday experience! The food was absolutely outstanding – fresh, flavorful Old Florida and Southern classics prepared with care and served in generous portions. From tender frog legs and crispy gator tail to delicious catfish, fried green tomatoes, and homemade sides, every dish was a hit. The desserts, especially the key lime pie, were the ideal sweet finish to our festive meal. The atmosphere was warm, cozy, and full of charm in the beautifully restored 1926 building, with historic photos, local artifacts, and that genuine Southern hospitality that makes you feel like family. The staff was attentive and friendly, adding to the joyful holiday vibe. This hidden gem delivered great food and an unforgettable atmosphere – we’ll definitely be back for more! Highly recommend Marsh Landing for anyone craving authentic Florida dining.

I made the epic journey all the way from Sebastian to Fellsmere for lunch and let me tell you, it was a trip worth taking! The fried green tomatoes were so good, they practically brought tears to my eyes. And don’t even get me started on the fried chicken sandwich – I can’t remember its name, but it was the bomb dot com. The atmosphere was cozy, the service was top-notch, and I left feeling like a culinary explorer who had just discovered the best hidden gem in town. Consider my taste buds seduced and my hunger satisfied – this place gets a solid 5 stars from me! Time to plan my next pilgrimage back for more fried goodness.

My wife and I (30 and 25) had an incredibly disappointing experience here. The evening started with a very strange ID encounter—I was grilled with three different questions about the details on my ID, yet my wife, who looks younger and ordered a double shot of liquor, wasn’t ID’d at all. It set a bizarre tone for the night. I am hopeful its not because I am from european origin and have a strong accent.

The Food:
Frog Legs: My first time trying them. They were okay, but my wife (who is a professional chef) noted they were severely under-seasoned.
Pimento Burger: Completely bland. It tasted like there wasn’t a grain of salt on the meat. I only finished it because I was hungry.
Chicken Sandwich: This was the biggest letdown. It was tough, overcooked, and genuinely awful. Food came with no sauce whatsoever, and servers are simply not around to help. We paid extra for Mac and cheese, which seemingly came straight from a freezer, temperature and all. After flagging down a food runner, before we got a word out she asked if it was cold. Evidently- this is not the first time it has been an issue.

The service was well below average. My drink sat empty for over 10 minutes. Once our mains arrived, we were never offered condiments, and our server vanished completely. The only thing on the table is pickled hot peppers, salt and pepper, and sugar. We didn’t see them again until we were finished with our meal, leaving us no opportunity to address the issues with the dry, bland food.
Having had the frog legs to start, we needed extra napkins and fresh silverware, besides the two single napkin rollups we were supplied. We had to take two new ones off of another table to receive these as we never saw our server again.

To top it off, the prices on the menu didn’t even match what we were charged. Between the poor execution in the kitchen and the absent service, we will not be returning. I’ve truly never experienced anything quite like this. Especially not for a 100 dollars. Outragous.

Went here for Thanksgiving last year and was in the area and decided to try their regular menu. We were not disappointed. My mom was excited because she was able to get liver and onions which I did not. Will be coming here again.

I’d really love to see a historical marker in front of this building, I was flabbergasted that it didn’t have one. Especially since the town has quite a few markers throughout the area. Perhaps it’s in the works, I didn’t ask. Anyway, you came here for a review on the restaurant so let’s get to it.
I visited with my family, as you can see in the photos we all ordered something different. Everything was pretty good with the exception of the fried chicken, I don’t know how you screw up fried chicken, but it was bad. It was so bad I couldn’t even eat, it was like eating Beef jerky. It was extremely overcooked. There was little meat even on the bone because it had been so severely over cooked.
Everyone else in our group really enjoyed their meals. The sweet tea was amazing. Our servers name was Lois. And she was superb. Gonna have to return again. I’ll re-order the fried chicken and see if that was just a one night thing or the chef really can’t cook chicken.
Love the nostalgia of the place, but when you go, make sure you have time to explore the area .

If you haven’t tried “Marsh Landing”, you are missing out. Enjoyed a wonderful Southern dinner in downtown Fellsmere, complete with a unique atmosphere, filled with history and charm. The meal was exceptional from appetizers to desserts.
I would like to recognize Leigh for her kind, patient, much appreciated service at our table. She guided us through the menu choices (some were unfamiliar) and her personality definitely added to our wonderful dining experience. Thank you Leigh. I’m certain we will see you again!!!

Food was delicious, atmosphere was great. The restaurant should add a bartender to their staff. Our waitress had to mix drinks besides all her regular waitressing duties. When it’s busy that slows the wait staff down, so we ended up waiting on drinks, refills & ordering. Other than that it was a great place and I would go back again.

We visited this place back a few weeks ago. On a Sunday afternoon. Service was good. Food was… Well the fried pork chop special of the day had to be sent back – too hard to cut with a steak knife. But the shrimp and grits were very good ‘Good enough that when a friend visited from out of state we thought she’d enjoy it.
Arrived early afternoon, not busy at all. Seated immediately but it was at least 5 minutes before the waitress approached, said she’d be right back, went and looked at the empty table of customerts who just left, went to chat with other wait staff and then returned.
Baked potato soup was listed on the specials board. “No soup” was the answer. Okay we were sort of looking forward to tasting that but…. we ordered.
What no one told us was their power had gone down. Until the food arrived.
Food was mediocre and barely warm. The person who had the pimento burger said it was good but the fries were dreadful.
No one came and offered to refill drinks. Eventually the waitress came with a bill. WE asked about desert but her “enthusiasm” didn’t encourage anyone to order any more food.
I went to pay the bill. Stood waiting at the desk. Finally caught the eye of another waitress who was chatting with someone. She headed over with the words “only if you have cash – the power is down.” Fortunately another member of the staff said the terminal was working for cards.
What a DREADFUL experience. Would we go there again? Unlikely. Mediocre food and waitstaff who either don’t care about customers or don’t want to be there.
We had heard good things about this place….how on earth is that possible
