Truth Hurts
We were there for lunch. I ordered the fajita burrito, my husband ordered the street tacos, and my niece ordered the taco salad.
I had an iced tea. It was spoiled. I am southern so I am used to this here. No big deal. I just drink water.

I chatted w/ my friend for a min then looked at my plate. There was a roach enveloped in the cheese of my burrito. …On its back w/ its legs sticking up.
Our waiter took the plate back. …said the manager would be w/ us. We waited & he did check back w/ us. A young waitress came up and let us know the manager wasn’t actually in.
We were not charged & I left a 20 as a tip. This isn’t the waitstaff’s fault. They did nothing wrong.
I am only posting this because this is a public health hazard. Roaches make ppl sick. Management needs to address this asap.

We went here after a graveside service to bury my mom. We reserved the back room for our family, and we had wonderful service. The staff was attentive to our big family. The food was excellent, and they kept the chips, salsa, and beverages coming. I like the proximity to the National Cemetery, too. I’ll be back next time I come up to visit my parents’ grave.

Fun and tasty Mexican restaurant in the downtown area of Covington! They have a fun bar with plenty of TVs and great drinks if you’re there for an event. They also have a large family dining area that is good for a date or a dinner with the whole family. I highly recommend getting the asada fajitas or the verde burrito! Both were amazing. They have a great in house salsa as well!

Don’t even come to this place if you like Mexican food, there’s clearly no hygiene and staff is too sassy.
Stopped by for lunch yesterday, and we ordered Enchiladas and Beef Burrito. The enchiladas came without sauce, when I asked the staff she said it’s extra, extra for what? Enchiladas are supposed to be having the sauce all over, what I got hardly had any sauce. Food was cold and the rice was dried, god knows how rice looks this way!
Moreover it had hair, I even took a picture, posted it here. I wanted to puke after this, left the restaurant and didn’t even have the patience to ask the staff about it, she was too sassy and kept saying everything is extra, salsa and chips she said the same, I know it is..but saying it over and over again makes it more awkward for customers.
Food quantity was average, but the prices felt a bit high for the portions. Not worth it, at all. Never coming back again.

This place used to be amazing for several years. They have just gone down hill. I have tried to provide multiple chances to make sure I didn’t get a bad day. They have just lost their touch on quality food and flavors. Unfortunately this will be my last attempt. I will always have the memories of what once was.

We had a large party here of about 40 people and the staff was great. When I called to book our party, the person I spoke to was very helpful and friendly. I had to call a second time to increase our reservation size and the second person I spoke to was also helpful and friendly. When our large group arrived they seated us within a few minutes. The service was fast and they managed to get all 40 people served in a very reasonable amount of time. The portions are huge and everything was very tasty. I only heard good experiences from everyone who attended.

We went to Puerta Vallarta in Covington on September 3rd for dinner and had Carlos as our waiter. The food was good, the decorations inside the building are so fun and beautiful. The service was slow but there was about 4-5 tables and just Carlos and his (amazing) hostess there.
It was difficult to flag him down and waited awhile to order. When ordering, we asked for nachos as an appetizer and the rest of the food after but it all came at once.
At the end, we were needing to go and did not want to wait for awhile again. So we went to leave and I found the hostess and gave her $100 with the $71.74 bill asking to pay. She took it and went to find Carlos. He cashed me out and I tipped him $12. We went outside and said goodbyes. When I was in the car I realized I only had $6 in my hands when it should have been $16. He did not give me $10 in my change. I should have checked my change better.

I’m disappointed in how my money was handled, perhaps he assumed I’d just walk out without tipping or miscounted and perhaps there was $10 extra in the register at the end of the day. We’ve tried to give this place multiple chances, since some friends still like this place. First my wife is gluten and dairy allergic- in 98% of any other Mexican places not an issue what so ever. Here, they have no clue because the two waitresses seemed like they could have cared less or even listened to why when you deep fry your corn chips to warm them back up- they are no longer gluten free. The waitress was very short and walked away. Drinks here are a joke, just gross. Came in during happy hour “well drinks $5.50″… Asked for a well tequila sunrise- oh can’t do that on happy hour because of the grenadine. Um ok! Sure. Whatever Tequila drink my wife ordered was gross. She pushed it over to me and I barely could drink it. We ended up getting the taquitos to go and left. Yes, the taquitos tasted like the frozen ones you buy at Costco… Actually costco probably tasted better. There are FAR Better places… One right across the parking lot!

Everything was so delicious! Everything was hot and fresh and perfect. I loved that they made the guacamole right in front of us, and it was probably the best guacamole i’ve ever had. The chips and salsa/bean dip was great and they were so on top of bringing more chips and water! The fajita quesadilla was amazing, and everyone else we ate with enjoyed their meals as well.

I was really disappointed with my visit to this Mexican restaurant. The food was bland and didn’t taste fresh — my tacos were cold and the meat was dry. The service was also very slow, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. When we asked for help, the staff didn’t seem very friendly or interested. For the price, I expected much better quality and service. I won’t be coming back.
