Big Joe’s Pizza and Subs is an absolute gem in Haslet. The veal parmigiana was perfetto—tender, rich, and beautifully balanced with a classic, savory sauce. My partner’s lasagna was equally outstanding: hearty, comforting, and clearly made with care and tradition. You can taste the amore in the food. We also grabbed a pizza to go and a cannoli for later, and both were phenomenal. The pizza held up perfectly—crispy, flavorful, and authentically New York–style—and the cannoli was delizioso, with a crisp shell and creamy, not-too-sweet filling.
The service was fantastic—NY friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The space itself is very comfortable and inviting: one side feels like a proper sit-down Italian restaurant, while the other side is a relaxed bar area with pool and shuffleboard. It’s a great setup whether you’re there for dinner, drinks, or both. I love finding a truly authentic NY-style pizzeria, and this is the real deal. Hands down, this is the best Italian food I’ve had since moving to Fort Worth. Molto bene all around. Highly recommend—and we’ll absolutely be back

This place has THE BEST Italian food I’ve ever had. My absolute favorite is the rigatoni in vodka sauce which I got today except this time I added chicken and to my surprise it was chicken Parmesan with the breading and man was it good. My husband always gets the spinach roll and a slice of pizza which is equally as tasty. We also got an order of the linguine in red clam sauce for my nephew and he ate the whole thing. Everything on the menu is simply outstanding and I can’t recommend this place enough.

I love the pizza and pasta here. The atmosphere is incredible with lots of authentic NY style pizza. The employees are kind and genuine with reasonable prices. If you want good pizza and a good heritage room that is fun and exciting, this is the spot. Highly recommended.

Great experience! I ordered a pasta dish that was so good I couldn’t stop eating it. Pizzas were large and also looked fantastic. Had a great interaction with the staff. Two areas to sit in, one being the bar, which were both relaxing and enjoyable.

Perfectly made NY-style pizza! The crust has a beautifully balanced crunch; the cheese is perfectly measured, and they put on plenty of toppings.
The side salad with their house dressing is delicious!
They also had my favorite arcade game, Galaga. I cannot wait until I come back to eat here!!

We love Big Joe’s! This place is a hidden gem in Haslet, TX. The food is AMAZING. From pizza, to pastas, to salads…You can’t go wrong with anything that you order. The ingredients are fresh, and the food is flavorful. My new personal favorite is the lasagna pizza.
We’ve done a mix of dining in and take-out. When dining in, the atmosphere is super laid back. I like that they have quarter machine games available for the kids. It’s keeps them busy while they wait. Theres a lot of flat screen TVs through out the restaurant to watch the games on. When it comes to take-out the drive through window is the best. Not having to get out of my car to pick- up my food is incredibly convenient. Keep up the great work!

Two words, consistently delicious! Everytime I’ve ordered, the food is always fresh and you can tell they put love into the food. I ALWAYS get an xlarge pizza (or two), lightly baked with Xtra sauce. This is pizza the true NY way… because they are all from there! If you want the NY experience in TX, this is where you want to try!
