We dined at Steak ‘n Shake for supper today, and it was a pleasant experience, especially since I don’t get to visit as often as I used to. The highlight was trying their much-advertised Beef Tallow Fries, which lived up to the hype—crisp, flavorful, and a nice change from standard fries. The rest of the meal was solid, with the food prepared well and served hot.
The staff was friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant itself was clean and well-maintained, which added to the overall enjoyment. For a quick, casual meal, it was a great choice, and I’d happily return when I’m in the mood for a classic smashed burger experience.

The employees were super friendly and helpful and enthusiastic. It was close to closing and they were very accommodating. The bun my burger came in was so greasy it was wet and the patty was so think you could see through it. I didn’t care for the French fries and I’m not convinced that having tallow in the name of the fries makes it sound appetizing.

I will NOT eat at Steak and Shake again! I used to love their burgers and shakes, but the burgers have gotten so greasy and the Shake was pretty tasteless. The worst part is that they have gone to kiosk ordering. Kiosk wouldn’t work right and there is NO Table service anymore. Very disappointing!!

Stay far away from this place! We had to give them our entire order 3 times. Then when we got our food the steak burger buns were hard as a rock. Worse yet, the burgers smelled like fish. Yuck! We threw the food away.

My sausage was over cooked I share my with ants like got pit bye there and I shared with yesterday’s French fries, my bill came to 12 0 5. I handed her a $20 bill and 5 cents. She got confused so bad that she shorted me some money now. I think these people need to do more math. She didn’t know nothing about a $20 bill and 5 cents, and I won’t be going back. I should’ve listened to someone and they said, the food was bad to begin with. I wasted my money. I gave her $20.05, so I won’t be going back. I could have gone down the street to. Just had the best customer service. I had placed a mobile order for pickup at 7:30. I ended up arriving 20 minutes early and asked if they could push the order through. The manager said it hadn’t shown up in their system yet, but asked what I had ordered and had the staff get started on it. My grandson was asleep in the car, so I couldn’t do inside pickup like I had selected in the app. The manager personally brought my order out with hot, fresh onion rings and the best service and attitude I have received in a long time. Keep up the good work! Food was awesome too!

The wait staff doesn’t know their job. We had to ask for pepper, we had to ask for coffee, we had to ask for a spoon, my wife’s coffee was cold; we mentioned it, nothing happened. There are some serious training issues there. The food was good. Going to a restaurant is not cheap anymore. Get it together folks.
